Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 - Our thread :) 201Dec 04, 2013 11:19 am Hi all we are also building the Henley but the Monaco Q1 with a few changes internally we are having the nouveau kitchen instead of the Monaco Q1 layout. I can't believe how quickly our house is coming along! Our slab was poured on the 28th of October and not far from Lock up stage. All that needs to be dones is to put the Architraves, skirting boards, doors to all internal and external including garage door for us to be in lock up stage. I must say quite impress with the work the tradies so far have done, no major problems. We've had our own personal home inspector come and besides a few framing problems, everything has been up to standard. It's just great to see how the house is coming along and so looking forward to moving in. So does anyone know from their own personal experience how long it takes from lock up stage to handover? Re: Building henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 - Our thread :) 202Dec 04, 2013 11:44 am Hi evagrace22, we are close to signing with Henley to build the Monaco. Can i ask what changes you made ? we are looking to covert the toilet into a powder room by adding the basin, however was advised it was not possible although someone else on this forum has done this. Re: Building henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 - Our thread :) 203Dec 04, 2013 12:11 pm Hi mwc, I know that someone did convert the toilet into a powder room, personally I wish I did it. The thought came to me through one of the threads but by then it was too late to change unless I wanted to incur a $500 variation fee. Another thing that I wished I had done was to get a large front door rather than have a standard door with two side windows, maybe later on will change. We are building a Monaco Q1 house not a Monaco Nouveau. So the house plan is a tad different. We liked the Monaco Q1 layout better but we prefered the kitchen design of the Nouveau so we changed it. We also flipped the back of the house, so the kitchen is backing to the garage and the laundry to our ensuite bathroom and we put in the alfresco which didn't come with the Monaco Q1 design. So when coming in from the garage, we go straight into the hallway instead of the laundry. We also changed a few of the light fittings and added an external power outlet to the front of the house. I will put a picture when I figure out how to do it Hi, Apologies - I know there is plenty out there on this but struggling to put together the puzzle. We're planning our garage/external laundry to master bedroom and… 0 11121 Hi, If you give a set of criteria as to what means 'good' to you, it'll give others prompts to respond. We considered Henley early on but there were two factors that… 1 10531 of course there are legal avenues. You've already mentioned it. Sue them.
