It looks really great sunct! You have a lot of space on the sideyard and surely it will give you a good space... Your facade from the side will also look great with the extra windows (and also pillars, isn't it?!)... Re: Building henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 - Our thread :) 26Jun 03, 2013 8:08 pm Thanks guys... True we have more of a side yard compared to back yard and yes pillars with the extra window... We'Ll put a gate in that side so more secure and perfect for the kids to run around...lol for our growing family and luckily it will be coming onto summer by the time we move. Just wondering about the landscaping do it ourselves or get someone. I think get a few quotes and see how expensive it is. Henley said they will bob cat it so I guess does tht mean its flat to lay turf? Re: Building henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 - Our thread :) 27Jun 03, 2013 8:35 pm sunct Thanks guys... Henley said they will bob cat it so I guess does tht mean its flat to lay turf? Awesome! Things are moving fast for you! Henley will bobcat the surrounds soils but its basically only taking rubbish etc, the land is not flat for any turf. Ive had a quote from a landscapper and its a killer.. $40k for front and back landscape with synthetic grass, deckings, some pavers and plants. Of course im not going ahead with that but will look around for people to get me a quote on crushed gravels and to help compact and level it. This will help with drainage. I will do the rest myself. Bigger garden = cost! Hahaha im stressed at the moment trying to organise all these and keep it low and also not too much hands on work for myself. Re: Building henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 - Our thread :) 28Jun 03, 2013 9:59 pm Haha... the only time I'm thankful for a smaller block That said we were lucky enough that Aston is springing for the front landscaping. The rear and sides will be another story though. Re: Building henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 - Our thread :) 29Jun 04, 2013 9:03 am LOL!! agree with AstonBoy! the only advantage of a smaller block is less landscaping to worry about... Re: Building henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 - Our thread :) 30Jun 04, 2013 9:15 am I'm still gobsmacked with the prices being quoted. I'll definitely be attempting my own I think. We're lucky though because Peet will be doing our front landscaping free of charge. Starting to see the value in that now. Re: Building henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 - Our thread :) 31Jun 04, 2013 11:43 am Wow... good that the front landscaping will be done Aston boy. Thats a high price for the landscaping and decking. Someone referred us Mark Albress's mobile: 0419 373 126... they had theirs bobcat for a 450 sqm land for $2700 to make it flat and including soil... so thats not too bad considering the price you have got. mtz08... are u going to do it yourself? We want to do it ourselves but with a new baby coming in December I doubt we will get anything much done... jsut want it flattened, soild poured and turf laid lol I can plant my own plants. Re: Building henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 - Our thread :) 32Jun 04, 2013 11:58 am Found this http://tim-and-tina.blogspot.com.au/ I haven't scrolled through it, but maybe will give us some insight on how much work needs to be done if we wanna do it ourselves. We will try as best as we could to do the landscaping/paving ourselve. We are thinking of renting the machinery, but haven't really thought or researched into DIY landscaping/paving. We will definitely do the decking on the alfresco and front porch ourselves as my brother had successfully done it so I can ask his help.. hehe Re: Building henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 - Our thread :) 33Jun 04, 2013 12:01 pm mtz08 Found this http://tim-and-tina.blogspot.com.au/ I haven't scrolled through it, but maybe will give us some insight on how much work needs to be done if we wanna do it ourselves. Most of my landscape costs was for fake grass, as i have chosen the most expensive one. For front itself costs $5500 and side of house is around $7000, had a few quotes and all gave me very similar price, will see how we go when we move in. Re: Building henley Monaco Nouveau Q1 - Our thread :) 35Jun 04, 2013 3:23 pm thanks heaps for that link mtz... I'll be doing some studying while the house is being built I think. Mainly for the sideways and back yard. cpl... when you deduct the price of materials from your quote I reckon the labour rate makes me think we're in the wrong industry.
