Day 4 and no reply to 3 emails and 4 phone calls. One minute she was 'not at her desk' then when I explained I just need to know whether to send final plans back or not I was told she had gone home. This coupled with her bad attitude at JC, she better reply tomorrow. Grrrrrr. Re: Goodlife Bravo Build Thread - Mandurah 346Oct 15, 2013 3:04 pm Keep having a niggling feeling that we've made the Main Bedroom too small. JC says its fine and weve paced it out and it feels fine but im not so sure... argh. Oh well too late to change. I think its okay... maybe. Wont know till I see it I guess. Our home building & decorating blog - http://www.rocknsoul.com.au/blog Re: Goodlife Bravo Build Thread - Mandurah 347Oct 15, 2013 3:15 pm I am having the same feeling about all our rooms!!! What size is your bedroom? Re: Goodlife Bravo Build Thread - Mandurah 348Oct 15, 2013 3:20 pm How big is the room? And what will you have in it? Re: Goodlife Bravo Build Thread - Mandurah 349Oct 15, 2013 3:46 pm At end of day your master room is for sleeping, as long as you can get into bed and get dressed in there then there's plenty room Goodlife Bravo Build Thread - Mandurah 350Oct 17, 2013 12:17 am Yeah.. It's 3.44 long x 3.8 wide.. If that makes sense.. Not sure how that compares to others? Will just have our bed and bedside tables in it which are the exact length of the WIR wall. Then there will be a tv on the wall opposite the bed. Our home building & decorating blog - http://www.rocknsoul.com.au/blog Re: Goodlife Bravo Build Thread - Mandurah 351Oct 17, 2013 12:23 am Ours is 3.1x4.4, ended up that long with the change to our WIR and ensuite. On the short wall we comfortably fit the head of the queen size bed and two bedsides, not nearly as squished as in our rental! And our room is really quite long, people have commented on it. All my other rooms I've normally had to sit on the bed to open the draws. Here I think we could possibly fit a chair in here! I think you'll be fine unless you were planning on having HUGE oversized furniture Re: Goodlife Bravo Build Thread - Mandurah 352Oct 17, 2013 12:29 am Hehe thanks. Our bedroom is pretty standard. Hurry up constructionnn. Can't believe we started all this is April! Settlement in two days, yay Our home building & decorating blog - http://www.rocknsoul.com.au/blog Re: Goodlife Bravo Build Thread - Mandurah 353Oct 17, 2013 10:35 am Mines 3.4x4.3 (doesn't include WIR) at new house, cant remember size of current one Only 6 months not too bad. We are up to 14 months since signing haha Re: Goodlife Bravo Build Thread - Mandurah 354Oct 17, 2013 11:40 am Oh okay, yeah those sizes I gave doesn't include our WIR either. Just got told settlement is now Monday because our broker didn't send the required document to the bank in time. HE HAS HAD MONTHS TO DO IT. FFS. I swear I could do their job for them whilst sitting here at my desk doing my own. Just got told were getting slapped with a penalty fee for settling late, and could get a default? WTF? Through no fault of our own, and I have been on his a$$ everyday. Grr. 14 months is a freaking long time! Is there a general time period how long till they start building once we've settled? We have titles and building licence and everything etc. I want to start seeing our beautiful hoooooome. Our home building & decorating blog - http://www.rocknsoul.com.au/blog Re: Goodlife Bravo Build Thread - Mandurah 355Oct 17, 2013 12:32 pm yep, ours will be 18 months from signing once completed. Supposedly. Signed Jan13 and will be ready June-ish 14. Our bedroom is similar to yours and we have to fit a built in robe down one wall :S Definitely not our forever house. Yours sounds fine ______________________________________________________________________ Signed up Jan 2013........Almost done! My thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65763 Re: Goodlife Bravo Build Thread - Mandurah 357Oct 17, 2013 1:25 pm We settled like week after prestart and got slab bout 3 months later. Worst 3 months of this whole build. That's when I had all the dramas and was not happy Re: Goodlife Bravo Build Thread - Mandurah 358Oct 20, 2013 5:06 am Just catching up on a few threads. I'm a bit slow. I love your colour selections, especially exterior colours too. The blackbutt laminate is impressive, you could have fooled me. http://www.housebythewater.wordpress.com From blank block to new home in Mandurah, Western Australia. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65564 Re: Goodlife Bravo Build Thread - Mandurah 359Oct 20, 2013 6:56 pm Hehe thankyou I am in love with the floor too, comes with a 25 year guarantee, can't wait to see it all together. Gemmill just told us to expect slab early November, double YAY! So happy Our home building & decorating blog - http://www.rocknsoul.com.au/blog Hi, as per the subject. Does anyone have any recommendations for the best value decking oil (Bunning is close to where I live) for a treated pine deck? Thanks 0 13183 It's possible but a soak well is usually much larger. Your 'soak well' only holds 424 litres when full. What is your soil type? Soak wells need sandy soils. 10 9428 |
