Firstly I'd like to say that having stumbled across this forum, I think it's a great place for to centralise ideas/experiences realting to contruction. Hopefully I can add to it in the future. Ok...We're poms (not our fault) who are moving to Melbourne..and like nothing more than to have a good winge However, we would really like to have a house built for us without us having to winge the builder to death So where do we start? I've done so much research..but the amount of research which can be done is never ending!!! Here for question 1: Is it advisable/useful/financially viable to employ someone to oversea the build on a regular basis to make sure the project build is doing everythig as per contract...i.e not skimping on insulation...using waterproof filler on bathroom tiles etc. Many Thanks TC Before you rip it up, if you can in the grout lines, drill some holes and pour/inject techgrip by sika.
