But then again in may mean the sight of all those sweaty Brad Pitt types has something to do with it) 
Anyway roof tiling has commenced and looks good to be completed by Friday.

Knowing how everyone loves photo's I thought it best to discontinue the updates.
However yesterday I noticed that I was able to view other peoples photobucket pictures and so I checked whether access had been returned and lo and behold it had! Don't know how long it will last for though so I will bring you up to date with the progress now and hope that access continues! Roof is now completed and lockup has been reached and yet another huge pogress payment made! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Last Friday Kevin from New Home Inspections carried out a Pre Plaster Inspection and found only 3 minor problems but was quite impressed by the work done so far. So despite the time being taken with the build (We are now 2 months behind schedule) this report has eased our concerns somewhat. This week SS expects the electricians to complete all their work including the pre wiring of the Home Theatre. Pipework for ducted vacuum will also be done. Plastering is to commence next Monday. Soke to the cabinet maker last week and he has been told by the builder to have kitchen, laundry, bathroom & ensuites cabinets ready by the end of next week. So things are moving along well. We also bought this light fitting on ebay to go over the dining table. We are very impressed with its quality. Its good to hear that Kevin only found a few issues, that surely is a testament to your builder! The merbau in your alfresco looks really, really nice!!!! I hope the downpipe issue is resolved soon. Dont give up on that fight!!!! The longer they leave it the harder they will say it is to rectify!!! Stay on them!! Yes we are pretty happy with the builder although we have found the speed of the building process frustrating at times. Your house looks great and it looks that a lot of progress has been made. For us we are very frustrated with the quality and speed of building at the moment - the builder (ashford) seems to make mistake after mistake and building materials seem to have either defects or damages (major damages that they look like seconds). We have made several attempts to report these issues but the SS seem not be concerned as long as the materials have been installed. It is now six months since site comencement and they have not reached lock-up yet. We paid for frame stage more than 2 months ago but the frame is not ready for inspection (by Kevin) yet!!!. We are really regretting how we could be so blind at choosing such a builder. Hi Peter & Ebby, Sorry to hear about your problems our major concern has been the slow progress with the build and not materials. 
I understand from our SS that Ashfords have recently undergone some management changes which were brought about by complaints to HO in SA. This being the case you may get some action by contacting the new victorian customer services manager whilst these sackings are still fresh in everyones minds! Bummer!!! I guess the lesson to be learned from this is to double check all plans and then check again.

The hold up now is the need to attend to the items raised at pre plaster inspection.

Glad it was them up there and not me!
