Happy now Re: Butterbing 4 month maintenance and ongoing Blind issues 1562Nov 30, 2014 5:32 pm Your house looks lovely. I'll be looking for similar playground setup in backyard for kids. Re: Butterbing 4 month maintenance and ongoing Blind issues 1563Nov 30, 2014 8:12 pm mirz Your house looks lovely. I'll be looking for similar playground setup in backyard for kids. Climbing frames.com.au have an amazing range. We were very limited in WA but in Melbourne I'm sure you will find something awesome...but be prepared they come in a million pieces My boys love putting a hose down the slide and turning it into a water slide... We are finding it very hard to choose which one to go with. Do you know by chance if they make steps to climb up instead of those rock climbing? We have one under 3. Can envisage how hectic it would be to keep her pushing up all the time Re: Butterbing 4 month maintenance and ongoing Blind issues 1565Nov 30, 2014 9:08 pm Ours had both ..steps one side and rock wall the other.. When we reassembled it at our new house we removed the rock wall and closed off the side so only have steps to get up way better Design by Greater Concept - modified version Evolution Court Build by Premiere Homes My build viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64854 Re: Butterbing 4 month maintenance and ongoing Blind issues 1566Nov 30, 2014 9:29 pm Re: Butterbing 4 month maintenance and ongoing Blind issues 1567Nov 30, 2014 9:45 pm [quote="butterbing"]We found it online originally from an eastern States company climbing frames.com.au the playroom in Osborne park was the wa distributor so we bought it from them. Not sure if they still sell them they also come up from time to time at toys r us At the time you couldn't buy in wa direct from them but they may of changed now ours was purchased in 2011 Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We modified ours when we built it so the cubby was at one end and the slide at the other. I'll admit it was originally an install error but it ended up being way better as we have a separate cubby and the original design you have to climb through the cubby to go down the slide. We've also removed the climbing wall on ours so we now have a big door to the cafe and made the cafe the full size of the playground. Our local playground has a way better climbing wall and I found it a pain to enter the cafe by squeezing behind the wall Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Some photos from our old house Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I think I love the playground even more than the kids Here's some info from an old thread Design by Greater Concept - modified version Evolution Court Build by Premiere Homes My build viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64854 Re: Butterbing 4 month maintenance and ongoing Blind issues 1568Nov 30, 2014 9:51 pm Fantastic, thanks for sharing. I'll give them a call tomorrow with more questions. Butterbing 4 month maintenance and ongoing Blind issues 1569Nov 30, 2014 9:51 pm It's a bit dark but you can also see in these photos that by removing the climbing wall the cafe door is now way better... We had the left over sheeting from our patio which has been a great addition to the playground and makes it feel more like a cafe and cubby house rather than just a playground Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Design by Greater Concept - modified version Evolution Court Build by Premiere Homes My build viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64854 Re: Butterbing 4 month maintenance and ongoing Blind issues 1570Nov 30, 2014 10:06 pm that's very creative way to change it. I don't mind climbing wall for other two as they are old enough and will manage it easily. but little one would love to copy them no matter what. and that's where trouble gonna start for us I just had a quick online chat with them, and they don't lay buy. we can't take delivery at stage in current house due to already limited space. It seems like we will wait till end February to place order with them. Currently they have online 40-45% sale till end of tomorrow. but I'm not sure how often they run such sales on their website. would you mind asking how much you paid for your frame? Thanks. Re: Butterbing 4 month maintenance and ongoing Blind issues 1571Nov 30, 2014 10:24 pm I cant remember price sorry we bought ours in 2011... And then we decided to build and take it with us.. Buying anything of that size at this time might kick me out of bedroom too (remember no room in garage either now) Butterbing Solar panel results... 1573Dec 20, 2014 7:09 pm butterbing For those new to my thread our first electricity bill was $1205 before solar. We are attempting to reduce our consumption and make the most of our new solar panels and reach our goal of receiving a bill under $500 next time. Our system is a 5kw system but with 27 panels which is 7kw of panels spread over north/east/west facing creating a maximum of 5kw but for a longer period each day compared to a standard 5kw system... The results speak for themselves with 30-40kw created each day we are well on our way in achieving our goal..currently we are creating excess which is going back to the grid but once the temperature increases the excess will easily be utilised with running ducted aircon.. Our second bill was half with and half without solar and was around the $650 mark.. But this week we received our third bill that is with the solar panels installed for the full 2 months... Remember our goal was to reduce our bill from $1200 to under $500. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ A combination of being more energy conscious eg turning off lights not being used, using a timer on the air con and the addition of the solar panels we achieved our goal of being under $1000 for the second time in over 7yrs and without turning our spa off or down... And still using the aircon whenever we wanted to but on a timer so you would need to manually turn it back on once the timer goes off rather than leave it on all night... Still high for the average user but we've never been average users with bills between $1000-$1500 consistently for the past 7yrs Design by Greater Concept - modified version Evolution Court Build by Premiere Homes My build viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64854 Re: Butterbing Solar panel results... 1574Dec 20, 2014 10:48 pm Those efforts and results are remarkable. We have planed to get 3kw system for north and west on two strings. After reading your results, I'm excited. Re: Butterbing Solar panel results... 1575Dec 23, 2014 11:02 am You sound very happy with your solar panel . I know nothing about them . Hubby wonts to get some but I would prefer to borrow money to finish off my backyard . Who did you go through ? Butterbing Solar panel results... 1576Dec 24, 2014 9:54 am Infinite energy 27x rec panels and a Fronius 5kw (3phase) invertor.. Our system is the biggest system you can put on in perth and still receive the maximum benefits from Synergy. The maximum invertor you can put on is 5kw... So the maximum our system can make at one time is 5kw... But we've added 7kw of panels - facing 9 east, 9 west, 9 north..which means when the sun comes up in the morning it will hit the east facing panels..then go over the house picking up the north and west panels..easily reaching the 5kw by around 10-11am and then going down on the west side .. Maximising the number of hours we reach 5kw This graph gives you an idea of what our system can do and at what time each day the panels start working...reach the 5kw and what time they stop producing electricity... Got me thinking more about our system now too. Re: Butterbing Solar panel results... 1578Dec 29, 2014 10:22 am They are amazing results. We will be putting in a system once we finish building, hubby I thinking 3kw ... But I might just show him your results and see what he thinks. Re: Butterbing Solar panel results... 1579Dec 30, 2014 12:55 pm It all comes down to your usage we were using over 90kw/units a day.. This is shown on your electricity bill.. so for us to get a system that makes over 40kw a day makes sense but if your usage each day is only 40kw with around half of this being non daylight hours then a 3 kW system would be sufficient The original feed in tariffs were worth sending back to the grid I think our last house was 40ckw now it's around 7c from memory so although the extra $80 we made this bill was still a bonus it wouldn't be worth oversizing the solar more than your needs Design by Greater Concept - modified version Evolution Court Build by Premiere Homes My build viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64854 Re: Butterbing Solar panel results... 1580Dec 30, 2014 2:40 pm That's great advice. We have consulted a good independent company for solar setup, and their answer was exactly same to go with max 3 kW system based on our electricity usage pattern from last two years data. Bigger solar systems are useless now if you are after feed in Tariffs. 7 cents wont pay back much. But it is better to go with better quality more efficient 3 kW system. of course there are legal avenues. You've already mentioned it. Sue them.
