Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Premiere Homes build Corimbia Landsdale WA 141Jul 07, 2013 12:26 pm Yeah for the interior. Our floors are quite dark and so is our furniture so wanted to keep walls fairly light. Make space feel open and airy. But 1/2 strength for master and theatre for something bit deeper. Ive painted a large canvas in half 1/2 silkwort and half 1/4 silkwort so I can take to new house once I have walls etc and place it in different spots. Also to go compare to flooring and so on Re: Premiere Homes build Corimbia Landsdale WA 142Jul 07, 2013 12:57 pm Thanks I am doing something similar though I have MCG boards I've painted up to take around to the house Re: Premiere Homes build Corimbia Landsdale WA 143Jul 08, 2013 12:33 pm Have some how manage to get away with not doing the whole paint board thing... Mind you now I'm second guessing my internal door and skirting colour white seemed like a great idea goes with everything and will be a nice contrast to the walls..easy to change the internal colour scheme etc....maybe I should of matched to the wall colour mmmm I just think all this waiting is getting to me lol Design by Greater Concept - modified version Evolution Court Build by Premiere Homes My build viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64854 Re: Premiere Homes build Corimbia Landsdale WA 144Jul 09, 2013 12:16 pm We have to finish off our tiling selections and have a more definite plan on our paving within the next two weeks.(we delete tiling and paving from our building contract) our tiling is pretty much decided just need to finalise where we are getting the tiles from. Our paving is giving us a bigger headache with us it not being able to make a decision. This may not be finalised within the next two weeks but no hurry with this decision we may have to wait until our front elevation is finished first. Our original plan was washed aggregate but we didn't have much option but to put our two large soak wells under our driveway (due to them not fitting anywhere else out the front) and our back is taken up with our alfresco and we wanted our grass area left free in case we ever win lotto lol it's the perfect spot for a lap pool...and now I'm not overly comfortable about putting a concrete driveway over the top... Our driveway I believe still needs to be light but when I look at standard light paves which mark easily with tyre marks etc I'm not sold on the idea or look...black standard pavers would be my preference if going standard but I think maybe way too much with the colour scheme we have chosen and may take away from the rest of the house mmm So we are now looking at some nice aggregate pavers from Fremantle stone...colour scheme great but the fact they are limestone based still makes me nervous and without seeing a whole driveway done I'm not confident on making such an expensive decision. They may still show up every tyre mark... Fremantle stone also have some nice granite that also may work again but $$$$ and can't find any granite driveways to really get a feel for the look...and the samples are very different to what they have on display so obvious there can be a significant difference in colours between batches...this also is the case with the aggregate pavers they have.. Choices choices may have to wait and once we are closer to needing them get Fremantle Stone to come out to the house with bigger samples and put them next to the house once its painted... Re: Premiere Homes build Corimbia Landsdale WA 146Jul 09, 2013 11:07 pm Ok went out tile hunting today and looks like we may have almost finished our selections (except alfresco-to tile or not to tile?) Are they the big ones or the standard square? I was so excited when I found out they were included for us as standard. While they aren't aggregate they give a nice look! We have that colour with a darker grey border. I have seen the big ends on display homes but ours will be the smaller ones, never thought to ask if they could do the big ones Re: Premiere Homes build Corimbia Landsdale WA 153Jul 10, 2013 5:34 pm These are 330x330x60 One more place to go to look at pavers and then we are done Design by Greater Concept - modified version Evolution Court Build by Premiere Homes My build viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64854 Re: Premiere Homes build Corimbia Landsdale WA 154Jul 10, 2013 5:38 pm To be honest I wouldn't have a clue how big ours are. They are the same as the small squares in plain colours so I think only 200x200. It could be a pretty good compromise Re: Premiere Homes build Corimbia Landsdale WA 155Jul 10, 2013 7:49 pm Ok now I'm just confused had a bit of paver overload today lol The pavers we chose as our favourite that I put on homeone earlier today looked fine until I put it next to our face brick.... So maybe have to rethink our short list... This is what we have on our short list still... The two brick makers grey base ones we found today and the limestone based ones we found at Fremantle Stone Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ These are only samples so not the proper size we are looking at 330x330 or 400x400 or 398x398 depending on the paver Or these two we found today these are more $$$ and have a lot more stones exposed so not so good with bare feet Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Design by Greater Concept - modified version Evolution Court Build by Premiere Homes My build viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64854 Re: Premiere Homes build Corimbia Landsdale WA 156Jul 10, 2013 7:54 pm Out of the grey base ones I prefer the one on the left. The other is a bit too black. What don't you like about them? My concern with the limestone coloured ones is they might blend a bit with your facebrick rather then be be a bit of a feature.... What colour is your garage door again? As that is what they will come up to... Maybe do a bitnofmamdrive around and see what others with similar colours have done colour wise with the driveway Re: Premiere Homes build Corimbia Landsdale WA 157Jul 10, 2013 8:01 pm Edited Design by Greater Concept - modified version Evolution Court Build by Premiere Homes My build viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64854 Re: Premiere Homes build Corimbia Landsdale WA 158Jul 10, 2013 8:02 pm Edited Design by Greater Concept - modified version Evolution Court Build by Premiere Homes My build viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64854 Re: Premiere Homes build Corimbia Landsdale WA 159Jul 10, 2013 8:05 pm Edited Design by Greater Concept - modified version Evolution Court Build by Premiere Homes My build viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64854 Re: Premiere Homes build Corimbia Landsdale WA 160Jul 10, 2013 8:10 pm Keep in mind all ones on display are generally sealed (you prob know that haha) I've chosen brick makers pebble beach.
