Have you had news on footings yet? How have you found Fairmonts to deal with? What has been your total timing so far (from signing contract)? no news yet! its only been 4 weeks so hoping soon we will hear from them. ive found them to be great so far. our consultant has been awesome and took alot of my phone calls at the start. he was happy to answer them for me. He will be wondering why i havent call lately lol we signed the contract and waited 6 weeks but i think that was due to our window position in the bedroom and the power box we have at the back of the property. as we are a corner block we have to have the road side of the house a certain way, meaning an extra window but it is now a long window near our ensuite so that the electrical box for the house can be there too, something about a certain distance away from any windows. then he thought we would have to pay extra to run more cable to the back to the power box, he advised it was going to cost $700 but he found a way for us to pay nothing. i was thinking a feew hundred! so $700 didnt sound too bad paying nothing is a bonus! now its 4 weeks since they put our request in for soil report and footins! all up not to bad with timing considering but we havent changed much with our plans accept widening the carport to get a car past the kitchen window and that is more so it gets through the council process as being a four bedroom we needed two car spaces besides the driveway. The kids and i went to the block today and found this, so excited that my kids thought mum went mad! lol they couldnt believe why i was getting excited that we should see a road soon! http://s1366.photobucket.com/albums/r76 ... e36e6a.jpg tammy your welcome to follow our build https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64842 Block cut - 15th February 2014 Re: tristams first home 27Jun 09, 2013 11:55 pm It won't be too long before your footings arrive I can't wait for roads either, thankfully my oldest is almost as excited as me, the youngest just likes going to the playground up the road!
