Browse Forums Building A New House Re: The Ponds - Ridgeline 451Mar 25, 2014 8:57 am dotgif thanks for the update @mattandkate, the wet weather we've been having and more forecasted for the rest of the week will slow down progress a bit, unfortunately. But it's good that you've got the roof tiles installed to protect the frames. About the roof joints in the middle, from looking at other houses around us, it looks like a standard practice (see PM I sent you). And sorry to hear about having to move the rainwater tank to the rear instead of the side of the house. You could perhaps build a screening wall afterwards - but I guess this is subject to what space you have left in your backyard. And in regards to air-con, we upgraded from the day/night Brivis reverse ducted air-con to a Daikin inverter ducted system. But since we don't plan to have the outdoor unit installed until after we complete (or start for that matter) our landscaping, I can't provide you with any useful insight. I have read Actron are good also (I think the Ultra-ESP model is the one mentioned often). Whichever one you decide to choose, make sure it's an inverter system - more efficient and maybe quieter also in comparison to a non-inverter system. Hi @dotgif, thanks for your insight. The image is not loading up on the PM. Weather is looking good today so i hope will help @impoze to get the brick work started. Looking at the roof the way the tiles are cut and the shiny gutter displayed, i think its very ugly, not sure if there is any solution, i spoke to the supervisor and they said that in bushfire prone areas they put a black metal mesh screen, i would rather prefer that than the shiny metal plate. Give it at least a minute to load. FYI, I note our roof also has those grey valleys. I can confidently say I know nothing about carpets ... but sounds like both you and @impoze are on top of this Built Wentworth 33 with Clarendon Homes Re: The Ponds - Ridgeline 453Mar 25, 2014 10:49 am New land release - Ridgeline 9 - this Saturday, 29th March @ 10am.
