And Leanne know's how many times I went back to the carpet court store indecisively. I wont be taking pictures for a few more days since the house is a mess yet again . Re: Scotts build - Baldivis - New Gen [ Build finished ] 330Nov 03, 2013 7:50 pm Looking good Acey, hopefully my build will be ready soon too! Quick question, how long did it take you to paint the whole house (i.e. how many days and people working?) I need to do mine...hopefully to get it done in 6 full days with 4 people doing it.. Especially around the cornices where the plasterer has left alot of crap. And then you will have to make sure you have enough sheets to cover benchtops and tiled areas, and also windows. It was my first time, and most likely the last time too Re: Scotts build - Baldivis - New Gen [ Build finished ] 335Nov 06, 2013 7:07 pm It was one reason we didn't do it ourselves. We thought by the time we bought brushes, rollers, paint, tape and drop sheets we wouldn't actually save that much doing it ourselves! But the bigger the house the less that applies. Re: Scotts build - Baldivis - New Gen [ Build finished ] 336Nov 06, 2013 8:55 pm Since I didn't have to pay for the labor, I think equipment came to about $1100, could've been done more conservatively though. And I have heard of quotes being as high as $5,000. Mind you there should be less paint on the cornices, and walls might look smooth Re: Scotts build - Baldivis - New Gen [ Build finished ] 337Nov 06, 2013 8:58 pm Yeah we paid $2,700 including the skirting which I'm starting to think was an amazing deal, though it was for cash, a friend of a friend and our house is tiny we also had flooring in so wasn't willing to damage it!
