Anyhow small update, blinds went in this morning. Re: Scotts build - Baldivis - New Gen [ Build finished ] 302Oct 25, 2013 11:14 pm Looking good!! I've never seen them screwed on the window frames, I've always seen them on the wall. Strange! Love those blinds, hoping we can change some of ours over Re: Scotts build - Baldivis - New Gen [ Build finished ] 303Oct 28, 2013 2:29 am Thanks fmac. I thought it was very strange is very annoying too, going to end up damaging the edge of the blinds the longer I leave it. Funnily enough though different rules apply to vertical blinds, they can be fixed to the wall instead. I forget, which blinds did you end up with? 1 reply between updates, I need more followers Some friends came over on saturday and started installing my downlights, bit brighter than I was expecting, will wait until the floors go down before I make final judgement. I am surprised how well my render colour matches the lights. Cant wait to see floors Re: Scotts build - Baldivis - New Gen [ Build finished ] 308Oct 28, 2013 9:40 am Some great pictures, the more light the better I say Just so long as you don't hear the sound of planes trying to taxi into your living room.... Re: Scotts build - Baldivis - New Gen [ Build finished ] 309Oct 28, 2013 10:17 am Looks wonderful, Acey--the lights, the space, the colours, the kitchen, everything. It's going to be a great place to live. Re: Scotts build - Baldivis - New Gen [ Build finished ] 310Oct 28, 2013 11:07 am The place is looking readier and readier, Acey. Those lights, to me, actually look blood.y fantastic! I hope my downlights look that good when they're lit up. I can't stand weak lighting (from overhead lights anyway, I love mood lighting at night but only from lamps, etc). When's the big move date? Or not 100% sure yet? We're meant to be having PCI this week - cross your fingers for us (as we need to get out of our house soon as it settles!). (I lost track of your thread--looking beautiful.) Re: Scotts build - Baldivis - New Gen [ Build finished ] 312Oct 28, 2013 12:11 pm Haha - Thanks Lucinda Our thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64272 Purchased land August '12 Titles Jan 27 '13 Prestart - Jan '13 Re: Scotts build - Baldivis - New Gen [ Build finished ] 313Oct 28, 2013 8:42 pm Thanks lucinda I dont think you can really go wrong with black and white. Thanks AKB, me and the sparky are throwing around ideas for the 'feature' lighting, so more to come hopefully in the not too distant future Thanks 1rocky fmac I dont mind the verticals in the laundry and bathroom. I like them in the grey or darker colours. Curtains sound nice, are you going to go all out with pelmets as well? Jessie stop copying me . I think yours are the full circle and mines 2/3's though? Well you will have to stop by one day when I am there would make it easier and check out the floors. They should be going down tomorrow at some point. Thanks Brad, there's plans for more lights. I liked someones idea with putting led ribbon strips under the pantry shelving. Your already the 3rd person to make the runway comment . Simomo you will have to see it in person one day when your not too busy driving past . I shopped around for cheap downlights, I wasn't expecting them to actually put out light even close to the claimed figures. Thankfully they are all dimmable . So I am sure yours through the builder will be using a good quality light. The cost new gen wanted the lights should've been gold plated. Moving on the 31st its all booked in, so the floors had better be done by wednesday. They came today and screeded the floor, next sand then start laying. And they driving back and forth between jobs. Fingers crossed for your PCI. And with your industrial sized aircon we will be good friends in the summer haha Re: Scotts build - Baldivis - New Gen [ Build finished ] 314Oct 28, 2013 9:23 pm Next time I see you I'll nail you for a proper hello! The 31st, how flipping exciting is that?! Know what you mean about the cost of downlights. We wanted more but had to stop due to $$ - the rest we'll get done later (al fresco, etc). Your downlights may be inexpensive, but they sure do look the shiz Our thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64272 Purchased land August '12 Titles Jan 27 '13 Prestart - Jan '13 Re: Scotts build - Baldivis - New Gen [ Build finished ] 315Oct 28, 2013 9:25 pm We saw you today talking to the fence guy hehe Re: Scotts build - Baldivis - New Gen [ Build finished ] 316Oct 28, 2013 10:35 pm Who, me?
