(also posted in kitchen corner) 20May 22, 2013 10:38 pm i think the problem you are having is that the access to your butlers pantry is against the wall, meaning that you need circulation here. This additional circulation is at the expense of bench space. Whilst i liked a lot of the plan posted previously, the distance between your sink and fridge is way too far. And if i am reading the intention right with the Walk-in-Pantry, it would be partially walled, and therefore the sink will be tucked away slightly, almost in an alcove. IF you were to get rid of this secondary access (not sure why you need two points) and put the access to the pantry in the middle (or perhaps even closer to the hallway) then you could increase your bench space. Something along the lines of this image... You could even have conceal the entrance to the pantry with a pivot door matching the cupboard doors. Hope that helps.
