Anxious about all the choices we have to make, especially colour wise! Thinking about starting a scrapbook of colours and textures we know we like so were not persuaded on the day of colour selection by others.. For example I see people who have built with goodlife goto European Ceramics, do they specifcy where you select your tiles from? Sorry if this is a stupid Q Our home building & decorating blog - http://www.rocknsoul.com.au/blog Re: Goodlife Homes - Bravo 9May 14, 2013 4:25 pm I assume Gemmill and Goodlife use the same suppliers, in which case you can also go to Crosby Tiles. There are a couple of others too but I don't have the information in front of me. What stage are you up to with Goodlife? We got our new home file when we signed our preliminary agreement and that file has all the details of what is standard, etc. Our custom Gemmill Home in Bedfordale WA Build thread:https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=53788 Timeline on page 1 Re: Goodlife Homes - Bravo 10May 14, 2013 4:55 pm Thanks for the reply! We are in the very very first stages, havent signed up anything formal yet. About to go for our pre-approval and secure our block. Is the new home file a specific Goodlife one? We were thinking about doing the day course at Home Base Expo to get an overview of the process and some hot tips - not sure if its worth it - or if anyone else has done it? Our home building & decorating blog - http://www.rocknsoul.com.au/blog Re: Goodlife Homes - Bravo 11May 14, 2013 6:42 pm We are building with Gemmill so I'm not 100% sure if the Goodlife process is the same but I assume it is. The new home file contains explanations of all the stages involved, details of which tile shops you can choose from, pics of the all the standard inclusions as well as brochures for upgrades. It is specific to the builder. I don't know anything about the Home Base expo course Every builder does things slightly differently so it would be hard to put together a course that covers everything. The best thing you can do is ask your sales reps lots and lots of questions. They will know the stages specific to the builder. One word of advice, don't take the time frames they tell you as gospel - things always take longer Our custom Gemmill Home in Bedfordale WA Build thread:https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=53788 Timeline on page 1 Ask for references and speak to them.
