Hi guys,
Quick question - I've recently signed a building contract with Metr!con and one of the special conditions mentioned states that we must obtain an Asset Protection Permit with our local council. The fees associated with the permit and the bond required needs to be paid by me (which is fine), however they also mention that any damage to the council assets (eg. vehicle crossover, footpath, etc.) will be my responsibility to rectify regardless of who damaged it...eg. even if the big 'M' contractors damage the footpath, I will have to foot the bill to get it fixed.
Does this sound right to you? Is this standard in all HIA contracts?
