Once you have electrical sorted its a big weight off your mind ! We only have a few downlights. Good luck with your build, have I given you some ideas? 2 Our build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64705 Re: Meowsy's Montrose-Floors! 165Nov 13, 2013 5:42 pm meowsy mirz, I just checked, it was around $900 including staining for the one front window, the door was more again. How many windows do you have at facade? I been told $800 for wooden upgrade to all windows on facade. Plus staining cost. very easy to make me confused Re: Meowsy's Montrose-Floors! 166Nov 13, 2013 5:48 pm mirz, argh, sorry we have 2- I think the price covers both Our build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64705 Re: Meowsy's Montrose-Floors! 167Nov 13, 2013 7:20 pm thanks meowsy, love your floorboards. did you get them done from PD (which boards are they?) Re: Meowsy's Montrose-Floors! 168Nov 13, 2013 8:11 pm mirz, thanks, yes PD did them- it was the Timbertop Limed Oak. I can't remember what Cat it was but it gets confusing as different timbers that are in the same Cat can have a different cost attached. I think it was around $13k for the timber floors ILO tiles or Bolero. The timber selections were very good IMO, and the prices were not much more expensive than doing it post handover, so we went with them. Re: Meowsy's Montrose-Floors! 170Nov 13, 2013 8:42 pm Country, yes (excluding wet areas of course!). I bought some gorgeous big wool rugs to go in the living areas- one is a deep sea green/teal colour with a pattern kind of imprinted on it (IYKWIM). I have accents of black, blues and greens and small amounts of silver decor. The blinds are going to look stunning too! They have matching 1200mm pelmets throughout the house, even the laundry Our build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64705 Re: Meowsy's Montrose-Floors! 172Nov 14, 2013 1:25 pm Looks fabulous Meowsy - Mirz I would think very hard about timber windows for a double storey...when they need restaining down the track it would be a nightmare! That's very true, not sure what would be involved but hope people who does staining would know how to do this properly. One thing is sure that this won't be a DIY for me. Re: Meowsy's Montrose-Floors! 174Nov 14, 2013 3:14 pm Am sure staining would be done properly before handover but more down the track like decks etc you would have to restain at some point to protect the wood and would be annoying but doable on a single storey house.
