Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 09, 2013 9:07 pm Hi, My first thread so please excuse any mistake I make! Just wondering if there is much interest out there for the new releases this Saturday the 11th of May? Thanks and I would love to hear from anyone building in the same area or can recommend builders Re: Whiteman Edge Estate release 11th May 2May 10, 2013 12:51 am Hello Plenty of us building in Whiteman Edge and Avonlee next door! Sorry don't know much about the new releases From when I saw Rob in the sales office last time I was there he said they are selling quite fast and some people were even camping out?! That was a couple months ago though for previous releases, maybe call the office and see what they say? What size block are you hoping to get? Is this release in the southern part or the northern bit closer to Park St? What size/type of house are you after and we can point you in the right direction in regards to builders Re: Whiteman Edge Estate release 11th May 3May 10, 2013 11:33 am Yay! Although by looking at some of the other threads you are all nearly ready to move in.....how exciting! The block i'm looking at is 350m2 - I'm only 21 and its my first home and i'm building all by myself so its all I could afford really. I'm looking at going with Aussie Living at this stage....just a nice little 3x2! I'm not entirely sure where the block is situated I just know its on Tappen Way. Where abouts are you building? Who did you go with? What stage are you at? Any advice for a newby to the building scene? Re: Whiteman Edge Estate release 11th May 4May 10, 2013 12:30 pm At 21 you are being very smart in getting yourself into a house of your own! screw paying someone else's mortgage if you can manage your own Have you spoken with many builders yet? What has Aussie Living got that has you leaning towards them? I'd also check out Celebrations and First Home Buyers Centre? I've only just had my slab go down so still 6 months away from moving in! We chose Redink and they have been fabulous so far Good luck with getting the block you want! make sure you let stockland know you're interested in a particular block and get a hold on it asap. You just need to provide a preapproval letter and then once you decide to purchase you pay the deposit and wait for titles. Im assuming not titled yet? There is someone else on here waiting for titles in a previous release so they haven't started yet either Re: Whiteman Edge Estate release 11th May 5May 10, 2013 7:34 pm We are building with Aussie, brickwork finished last Friday and there is someone else here who got handover at the end of last year. We've had ups and downs but are happy with the plan we will have! We have 10 years on you! Wish I had done the same thing at your age rather then buying the d0dgy unit I did at 25 just before the market went bust! Though cant complain, I met my now fiancé while living there so never know how things may have panned out Good luck with the block!! I engaged my builder in December last year and we’ve been working on preliminary drawings for last couple of months. I got a call from the salesperson this morning… 0 566 Hello everyone, After some suggestions and ideas about how to put a concrete path around the drop edge beam area on our new build.
