I got a letter from builder today for a Final Walkthrough on Friday.
And it would be handed over to me after a couple of weeks.
Can I ask how to prepare for the final walkthrough and things to check during walkthrough?

Light switches.... Do they work? Check ceiling, walls for paint work problems Check door, door jamb, handles... Make sure they are fully painted and sealed... They have door stops Check plumbing, taps work, unfortunately hot water service won't be in so you cant check they work the right way ie. hot and cold in right spots... It never was in my parents place and it frustrated me. flush toilet, throw a bucket of water down shower and make sure it goes down the drain quickly. Fill bath and drain check drainage flow. Check you have plugs. Check silicon seal. Sit on toilet and wiggle make sure it is secure. Make sure all bathroom fittings in contract are there. Check for privacy locks and all doors lock Check cabinetry open and closes properly, doors are aligned. Check shelving is leveled Check brickwork, Check eaves are painted Check all outside plumbing pipes are painted Go through your contract and list all things that should be in each room and check off... It's also good to have building inspection, we had two, one paid by us, and one paid by builder... We paid for an independent "independent" inspection as we didn't know if the builder's one would be independent, but they picked up little things that we didn't even notice and we were looking at the same things.
