Hi everyone,
I am trying to find anyone who has had a similar issue to mine or at least, someone who would know the best way to handle this.
I am building with Henley. During the construction stage, the fence at the back of our property (the fence gives to a creek at the back) has fallen down.
This fence was standing up all the way up the framing stage. According to them, the fence was old and dilapidated and that's why it fell down on its own. However, the fence looked solid enough to me and was even reinforced. They are now refusing to do anything with the fence. During the pre-handover inspection, the person that showed us the house said that they will deal with the council and prop the fence back up.
Now the construction manager is claiming that since the fence did not fall down because of Henley, they will not do anything.
I am fighting this because the person who showed up the house at the pre-handover stage has said that this should be propped back up. Has anyone got any advise on how to best handle this? Is it worthwhile me fighting this?
