Hello Orchard friends,
Thought I had better break the news, if you hadn't assumed so already. We opted out and we are currently looking at building closer to my current work as it looks like i'll be getting permanency - which is AWESOME!!! We are probably going to build with Rivergum or Metricon on a block in a beautiful estate. The block is 3 times the size of the one we had at Mount Barker. WOW! There is a house and land package with Rivergum for $277,000 that we are pretty happy with. Just want to check out Metricon before we decide. Feeling very relieved and lucky to only be spending that amount rather than the $400k+ and getting an extension with the grants. Maybe we can afford that wedding and honeymoon after all!
Just wanted to say, thank you for all the help and advice. Your knowledge and discussions helped us a lot just from reading them. We honestly had no idea. All the very best with everything. I will keep an eye on what's happening and wish the new owners of lot 365 all the best too. It will be interesting to drive past one day and see it all going from a big paddock to an area with actual streets and homes.
