Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Tips for queuing up for purchase of land. what time???? 2May 06, 2013 8:47 pm not sure about Hammond park, but I know when we purchased our land at The Ponds there was 1 couple that camped out for 2 nights the other camped for 1 night, we arrived around 7am with the office opening at 10 and were 10 on the list, the sales people at The Ponds, suggested to us to ring mid week and then again each day so they could tell me how many people were waiting. Perhaps you can do the same or even take a drive past before/after work? also guess it also depends on how badly you want your particular block, we had our 1st through to 5th preference and got our 2nd choice. good luck Re: Tips for queuing up for purchase of land. what time???? 3May 06, 2013 8:52 pm how many lots were available, hmmm.. is the ponds in Perth, WA, might be a different market in Perth, but i might go about 4 hours earlier. and give the developer a call just to see how many are interested. Not sure how accurate that is - or if it is scare mongering. I guess if you really want a particular bit of lad you will line up... Re: Tips for queuing up for purchase of land. what time???? 12May 07, 2013 8:35 am I'm from QLD and I've never heard of people queuing for land! It doesn't make sense to me - if the demand is that crazy high, why don't they just increase the price of the land??? Could it be because if the land comes back undervalued by lenders, people's finance will be rejected on those grounds...? Just a thought!
