Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 06, 2013 8:54 am I'm thinking of installing the Wattsaver DL9-1400 downlights or one of those lower lumens ones from Beacon lighting or the DL9-1200 for my new house. I have layout all my downlights about 1.5m apart. I'm not planning to get dimmers. So just wondering if it is going to be too bright when run on full power or am I better off getting a lower output light? Re: Wattsaver DL9 1400 downlights 2May 06, 2013 10:22 am Having got the DL-9's I wouldn't run them flat out all the time. They will be too bright. We run ours dimmed as far down as possible nearly all the time. We have four in an area approx 7m x 7m and only use 2 most of the time. Ours are spaced about 2 metres apart son closer would be even brighter. I wouldn't want to sit under them all the time flat out. Any reason for not having dimmers?? Makes them so much more useable. Subdued or bright as you choose. With the spacings you want I would look at the DL-7's.
