Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 03, 2013 3:13 pm In the interest of keeping things simple, I've just realised we've got the same caesarstone benchops in the kitchen, bathrooms & laundry. All the cupboards are white so everything is going to match. It's past the stage where we can make changes now to colours - what would you do? We haven't yet picked our tiles so maybe something different there? Would it turn you off if a house that had the same cupboards and benchtops throughout? Re: Holy crap, what have I done - help! 2May 03, 2013 3:24 pm Honestly, I think you are worried about nothing. As long as they look nice I don't see the problem! I think some people over-complicate things - it'll be fine I just had a peep at your house - it looks amazing. I hope ours turns out as well. Re: Holy crap, what have I done - help! 7May 03, 2013 4:02 pm We've kept the same colour scheme throughout the house because we liked it in some displays. The benchtops are the same colour in the kitchen as they are in the bathrooms and laundry. The tiles are more or less the same colour in the bathrooms and the rest of the house. I've seen it done in other houses and it gives it a more pulled together and polished look. IMO you shouldn't worry and as someone said add a bit of colour with splashback and tiling. https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64434 Building our own custom design based on the Elwood by Dale Alcock Land settled - November Plans submitted to council - January Prestart - March Slab - 18 September Brickies - 23 October Re: Holy crap, what have I done - help! 8May 03, 2013 4:23 pm We had the same throughout too, wouldn't have it any other way! Re: Holy crap, what have I done - help! 10May 04, 2013 2:02 pm me too. i was worried and thought i should have done white caesar stone in bathrooms instead of all 'osprey'. but too late now, the profile of the cupboards are different in bathrooms as i couldn't afford shaker style everywhere which is more of a concern to me. i'm sure it will look great! i am definitely not a fan of everything being different! The vanities are the same colour as the kitchen cupboards and the vanity tops are all the same colour as the kitchen benches.
