These are the main points on the latest Stockland newsletter:
· Council are progressing well on the construction of the pavilion. This pavillion will include a social gathering area, kitchen, change rooms, storage, umpires rooms and public toilets. The pavillion has been designed to oversee both ovals and provide the facilities to maximise use of the reserve. Industry shortages have resulted in our landscape team unable to find enough topsoil for council’s approval of the ovals. This combined with the winter weather will mean the turf will have to wait to be laid until it is warmer. At this time, the ovals are expected to be ready by summertime. Stockland apologises for these delays, we are working closely with our contractors and council to resolve this as soon as possible.
· The site earmarked at Allura for a future school is now going through the first steps for the formal land transfer process. This process will happen between Stockland and the Department of Education.
· Works are progressing on the intersection of Forsyth and Leakes Roads. Works have also started on Forsyth Road. Construction work on both areas is expected to be complete by mid-winter.
· Some minor fencing is required where the creek passes under the intersection of Forsyth and Elmhurst Roads. Once this is complete, civil works will be finished. Landscaping on the creek is underway, and anticipated to be complete in the next two months.
· Woolworths has advised Stockland that they are working towards an opening of the centre in 2018 however further updates will be provided as they are communicated.
· Corner of Forsyth and Leakes Roads. An external developer submitted a planning permit application for this parcel of land in Stage 33, in March 2017. Proposed uses include a service station, medical centre, child care centre, convenience shop, convenience restaurant, food and drink premises, construction of buildings and works and a subdivision into two lots.
· Eclipse Childcare is coming soon to Allura! The developer of the centre has advised Stockland that construction will begin on the exciting new facility soon.
