Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Allura Estate 1362Oct 17, 2014 10:20 am knowhimali Hello Is anyone know how many shops will be in Allura town centre. When I bought I was told it will be 25 shops including Woolworths however stocklands website says it will be 8 speciality stores and Woolworths. Is that mean it will be 8 shops to start with and then eventually add more until 25 or it will be only 8? i think this is always changing. given the size - i dont think they can house a Woolworths plus 25 shops - even though we would love that variety. Woolworths is building the entire complex - so depends on what they want to put in there - and how much competition they want to install against them. hopefully it will be more (the merrier) so we have more things close to us. apparently DEC 2015 is the completion date - so will be great to just be able to stroll down to the supermarket - rather than drive through only 1 exit and entry point and head elsewhere. original plans for the centre grounds had drawings of tennis courts and b/ball courts etc - but that has been revised. i think once the centre grounds are completed - not sure when - and they remove that fencing in the middle - we will really see the true size of our estate. one major thing still needs to be completed - is the Elmhurst Road connection to Marquands Road. with St Clares opening in January - gonna be a small traffic jam during mornings and afternoons - plus for the many friends on here who live on that side of the estate - still being disconnect from the main part.... Looks like we will have another exit/entrance soon though but going in the other direction at Palmers Road. Re: Allura Estate 1364Oct 17, 2014 11:06 am Cool CDL1968 but given the size of the estate I think we'll be all close neighbours. At least that is what I would like to think and hopefully we can establish a real community feel at Allura. Minus the criminal activity in the news recently As for the shops the more the merrier but just having a Woolworths nearby is convenient in itself. Anyone know what plans they have for the corner of Leakes and Palmers Road? I heard a petrol station and maybe more shops? As for those entrance/exit points into the estate bring it on as they will only make things more accessible for all. Does anyone also know what/who is building to the right of Allura exiting onto Palmers Road? I always assumed it would be Allura all the way across but on checking the Masterplan this doesn't appear to be the case. It would have been nice as well if they had the walking/cycling path circle the whole estate as opposed to just ending at Leakes Road which will leave you having to travel on the road itself. Re: Allura Estate 1365Oct 17, 2014 11:23 am In my last conversation with Fabian he mentioned it will be club ( like phoenix in Williams landing) on the corner of palmers and leaks road Re: Allura Estate 1367Oct 17, 2014 12:28 pm siapao knowhimali In my last conversation with Fabian he mentioned it will be club ( like phoenix in Williams landing) on the corner of palmers and leaks road Ahh that would be good to have a local. That is what Fabian told me but he didn't mention what it would be like, just a pub night spot type place. Bring it on. Re: Allura Estate 1369Oct 20, 2014 10:38 am Wyndham City Council has welcomed the announcement from Parliamentary Secretary for Transport, the Hon. Gary Blackwood MLA, that the Palmers Road and Leakes Road intersection in Truganina will be upgraded with new signalling and additional lanes. The $2.5 million package of works includes: Upgraded signals at all sides of the Palmers/Leakes Road intersection, allowing drivers more ‘green’ time to turn right. An additional lane for Leakes Road in both directions. A second right-turning lane for south bound vehicles turning from Palmers Road into Leakes Road. It’s expected that works will commence in early 2015. Thanks for the Info CDL Re: Allura Estate 1371Oct 21, 2014 7:04 pm Hello neighbours Any contacts for decking, landscaping and driveway And also if you can share your experience with these costs as I am getting quotations in large variations in price. Thanks in advance Re: Allura Estate 1372Oct 21, 2014 7:18 pm knowhimali Hello neighbours Any contacts for decking, landscaping and driveway And also if you can share your experience with these costs as I am getting quotations in large variations in price. Thanks in advance Doing the landscaping myself, had the driveway done by the builder but got my decking done for $175 per metre which included concrete slab under it. Re: Allura Estate 1374Oct 22, 2014 11:02 am CDL1968 Just been checking the local council website: Construction of a signalised intersection at Forsyth and Elmhurst Road, Truganina. Work on this project is expected to be completed later this year. Cool! Do you know if this means Elmhurst will go straight through to Marquands? And Forsyth will open all the way through to the where Forsyth originally ended? They stole so much money from me and my husband for doing initial design plans. Thank god we found another local builder around Pagewood and… 6 10219 |
