Re: First home with Statesman Homes in Andrews Farm SA 129Jul 06, 2013 10:54 pm I'm sorry to hear your report wasn't that great Hopefully it doesn't impact your selections too much & you can still get what you want Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=66299 Slab: 16/6/14 Frame: 4/7/14 Roof: 22/7/14 Lock Up: 20/8/14 Fixing: 26/8/14 PCI: 9/10/14 Handover: 20/10/14 Re: First home with Statesman Homes in Andrews Farm SA 130Jul 06, 2013 10:59 pm thanks Deluxes, i hope it doesnt. if it does, i'll just have to buy things gradually. i've been reading the mount barker threads and im sorry to hear all the drama you guys are going through with the land part of it. not good news at all, but its more positive for you isnt it? you can continue to save is that right? Re: First home with Statesman Homes in Andrews Farm SA 131Jul 06, 2013 11:11 pm Well that's it, unfortunately it is what it is and you can only make the best of it, I'm sure you'll be happy anyway It was a bit of a dramatic week! It's worked out really well for us, we postponed building till mid next year so we didn't have to cutback on the things we wanted and so we could have the exact home we wanted, and some money left over to boot! We just figured 7 or 8 months in the scheme of things wasnt that long for the benefit we'd get from waiting. It's upset a few people, but their situations are different again, so... I guess those are the breaks! I've worked out all my selections and upgrades, now just to go in tomorrow and let them know and find ut how much theyre going to cost. and then the exciting part of having work start on the block. how long after selections did it take for people to have work start on their block? Re: First home with Statesman Homes in Andrews Farm SA 133Jul 09, 2013 1:20 pm Thats it... if you cant control it, no use stressing about it! All the best for tomorrow, I hope it goes really smoothly for you I honestly can't remember, but it was about 2 months-ish from memory... our selections were on 19/3 and we got released to construction on 26/4. we had a slab a week later. ours could have been a week earlier but our pre approval had just run out so we had to resubmit some paperwork for official finance approval. Re: First home with Statesman Homes in Andrews Farm SA 137Jul 10, 2013 12:19 pm Hi everyone, Haven't been able to get on here for a while so just trying to catch up. I also had my selections 2 weeks ago and council sent a letter the other week asking for colour choices, details of fences we were going to be getting and a revised site plan showing alternative stormwater drainage so apparently builders are taking care of that. Was wondering when we can be expected to get started, I guess once bank approve final amount now that selections are done and final approval by council? I also hope mine is as quick as yours was Hachy - that is exciting! Deluxes, sorry to hear about all your dramas but glad that you are feeling ok about it all and like it has worked out well for you. Megs25 how did you find your colour selections, did you get everything you wanted and helpful consultant etc? I had exactly same thing with engineers report but mine went up $8k, not very nice I can post my selections if anyone is interested or pm any prices of upgrades.
