If you're not sure or don't want to spend the time worrying about where to put these things; there are actually published official Australian Standards for all this stuff. My wife looked it all up when we had our bathroom renovated, and we had them install studs in the right places for the hooks/rails/etc to be installed. However, we were dealing with a "real" builder not a project-home builder. It'll be interesting when we discuss interiors (next Monday) with the project builder, I suspect they'll just blink in a confused fashion & tell us we're getting what they give us.
