Re: Arden Developments 1026Jul 21, 2017 12:45 am Had our colour browse last weekend so updated the blog here http://ardentoulouse.blogspot.com.au/20 ... e.html?m=1 Kind of feeling impatient for dates of our colour selection lol. Went to bunnings the other day and picked out some swatches for the walls and trims and the theatre room too. Still conflicted between western red cedar, weathertex mdf or scyon Fibrecement for the timber cladding on our facade though. Would ideally like to go with Knotwood which is a timber look aluminium. Laaa, we made structural changes after tender app but as you get closer to the contract date, you can't make new structural changes without paying for engineering and energy reports to be done again. So I'd make sure you happy with window sizes, doors, size of rooms well before contracts A few days before contract I did add some cabinetry and change a colour and they could have charged me a variation fee but didn't. They made the changes a day before of things that were meant to be updated by drafting but hadn't been. On the day minor changes of towel rail positions based on direction of shower door etc opening were made. When's your contract app? Re: Arden Developments 1032Jul 22, 2017 7:54 am Jeeta23 gopalc ya, ours is bit weird as external and internal is going at different speeds , its bit tricky. rendering of hebel is going on and cladding has finished. how is your pci coming along? has your flooring completed? PCI is scheduled for the 31st. SS is confident that will happen, despite bad weather and a carpenter not showing up to complete the balcony and facade. Flooring went in Monday and yesterday, I managed to get a quick look during my lunch break. Took some photos, but was rushed as I was trying not to get in carpet layers way. He did tell me he's the only tiler Arden engages that does the window frame tiling in our area, I guess the others just leave the aluminium window frame. So if you want that look or something's different, tell them accordingly. Or is that the Ezy reveal window that you have to upgrade to for floor to ceiling? Looks fab!!! TBH I didn't know what standard procedure was, and my ss prefers we meet with tiller to confirm tiling directions etc, so I asked him what he was planning to do. That's when he told me that his tiling team tiles the window frame. Re: Arden Developments 1040Jul 25, 2017 7:43 pm Hi all sorry to butt in on your thread again .. well not sorry cos I am butting in anyway hehe Now that we have finalised our floor plan with Inspired Homes we have been moved over to Arden's for the remainder of the process (with the support of Inspired if needed, hopefully not). We have our colour browse booked in on 12th August and Arden contacted me today to book in colour and electrical on 22nd August and tender on 11th September. Considering we have next to no idea on our colour choices etc, are these appointments all too close together? It gives one free weekend between browse and colour appointment and then 3 until tender. Looking to hear your opinions and experiences. Build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=88062 |
