Got our final drawings and building permits today. Looks like we're off and racing next week. Well no. It's been delayed several times due to the weather. They've done the site cut and drainage though.. How about yours? What is the difference between the two. Further, I had asked for tile trims to all tile edges- and was told it is standard - Just wanted to get it clarified whether all have noticed this and if built did you all get the tile trims follow my build Arden homes Votivo 37 iin south east: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=88622 Re: Arden Developments 1417Sep 15, 2017 9:27 pm pEast I have checked my drawings again - it says framed niche in common bathroom but only niche in ensuite. Not actually about the edges. I think you'll be fine as I'm pretty sure they finish all corners/edges with those trims. they did with our bathroom when it was renovated. Re: Arden Developments 1418Sep 16, 2017 1:28 am gags Hi BLKYG, My land title next year. still some time to go. How is your site manager been so far? Hi gags Yes, you have quite some time left but it will approach fast! I've only communicated with him once through email re slab pour date. So too early to form a definite opinion. Hey pEast & Ezza78, i'm still new to the forum and trying to navigate through site to post my questions to the right people. We had a win yesterday. We have a awkard shaped block that sharply tapers in from the left to give a very narrow frontage, this meant the house we are hoping to build (a heavily modified Mercer 39) encroached on the side setbacks. The council has finally approved our dispensation application for side setbacks!! We can move forward to contract stage now, but now need to finalise all outstanding questions before meeting Arden to sign. With the shower niches we have 400 x 400 but i'm thinking that's going to be too narrow. What width and height did you go with, any recommendations? Re: Arden Developments 1420Sep 16, 2017 10:22 am should have asked all my ensuite bathroom questions at the same time: Thinking of getting floor to ceiling tiling throughout for bathroom guest WCs and only floor to ceiling tiling to ensuitres, but the cost they are quoting for laser leveling and squareset cornice is very high close to $4k. Has anyone got floor to ceiling tiling and what is the cost they quoted for levelling and squareset cornice? Can it be done later after the build? We like to get a stand alone bath but how do you get to the back of the bath to clean the space between wall and bath? We have young kids x 4, so any mess or rubbish on the side of bath closest to wall will be a challenge to clean. Any thoughts? Has anyone opted for an open frame shower? What were the costs involved? Do you have to waterproof the entire floor? Do you have a light fitting above the shower or is it just outside of the shower frame? Batten or downlight? Did you connect the exhaust fan to the main bathroom/ensuite light switch? |
