Hi Philo, You need to visit Beaumont Oakleigh showroom and they have it marked for you. Tell the sales rep you are building with Arden Homes and he/she will point you to the builders silver and gold range resp. Bastards! You can actually go to any Beaumont’s and ask to see the silver range, it’s marked the same at each store Re: Arden Developments 3151Mar 05, 2018 8:20 pm Ezza am I right that silver is base price, gold is (unspecified price until you’ve fallen in love with it and made all your complementary choices haha) upgrade? I seem to remember Beaumont’s also having a red sticker on some tiles - is that a different category?? Re: Arden Developments 3152Mar 05, 2018 11:09 pm Hi all, We have signed our tender last week on the second appointment as the first one was a bit of a disaster! Even after the site survey the site costs had a provison on $35000 but then jumped up to $60000 at tender. Most of it was expained to us but we have been quoted an amount for $7000 for tigertails for the powerlines. Does this seem excessive to anyone? Has anyone else had to pay for these is a KDR? Treedance - we picked a red tile and it was an upgrade but it was not too expensive - $5000 for all the flooring for downstairs (execpt master bed) in a Bargello. Hi Himadri We have also been quoted $35000 in site cost for our KDR, building a modifed Votivo. and have tender next week. We've had no mention of tiger tails even though power lines are on our side of the street. $7000 seem excessive for what it is. Did they tell you why it costs so much? What else makes up the $60000. Are you on a sloping block? Thanks Darren Re: Arden Developments 3155Mar 06, 2018 7:23 am Himadri Hi all, We have signed our tender last week on the second appointment as the first one was a bit of a disaster! Hi @himandri .. we are doing a KDR, we do have a dogman and crane fee of 5k despite the power lines being on the opposite side of our block... we have a traffic control fee of 7k for a street that has no school, no childcare and very quiet ... for the love of my life I don't get it ... Our site cost is approx. 100k due to the fact we are sloping (1.4-1.6 m) and want the house in par with street level.. we also have a 22k rock removal included - We are not clear why they have to dig 1.4 m to uncover and remove rock so deep when we want the block filled up to build the house.... we pretty much think we have been over quoted .... but I guess that's how the building industry operates here ... _________________________________________ Regards Manj https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=88256 Re: Arden Developments 3156Mar 06, 2018 8:50 am We have been quoted the standard 35k provisional site costs for KDR, That said, we are no way near tender yet, so its going to be a while before I have an idea as to what we are actually dealing with. That said, we already have underground power so some of the crane costs etc... shouldnt apply, but the traffic management aspect seens about standard from what everyone else is saying. My only real concern will be the fall of our block. We have around a 1m fall at the front of the property, however where the actual house will be is flat. (the current house is on a slab). Interestingly, the new house wont increase the footprint much of the building. We will go from around 18% site coverage to 28% and that extra space will be where our outdoor area currently is. Re: Arden Developments 3157Mar 06, 2018 8:27 pm It seems that they just quote the standard $35K for every KDR. We have about a 1.2m slope down towards the backyard over the building envelope. We already have a seperate cost item for $5000 for the crane/dogman/spotter which was included in the initial quote but the new $7000K for the tigertails was only quoted on the tender date. We are still trying to get answers on it as the mains are on the opposite side and we are getting an under ground power pit put in. I was just wondering if anyone else had this cost. Re: Arden Developments 3160Mar 19, 2018 12:05 pm phillo Is anyone doing Shaker cabinets in their kitchen? If.... what was the $$ premium you paid for them?
