Nice to see Gaggy's progress and pictures from your blog. Finally I have received a CC certificate and waiting for bank's letter to authorize construction. How long normally does it take to get it. I provided the paperworks to bank last Tuesday? Depends on you bank. It took more than 3 weeks for me to get valuation and loan docs to sort. Depends on bank as well. Thank Gaggy, finally payment's been sent by bank. Hopefully will see the construction soon. Do we have to get approval from developer first before council building house at minto? If anyone has to draw the draft for landscaping...to developer??? Not really, i went with cdc and no dramas were there. Yes for the landscaping plan. I drew one myself and saved $800 the builder wanted to charge. Good luck with the process Hi askanaan. Which app did you use for the landscaping draft? How long did it take to draw? How did you find out if any retaining walls are required on the draft? I'll need to draw it myself as well. Pm your email ill forward you the plan Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 708Oct 23, 2015 12:07 pm askanaan Hi ... I used photoshop. Took me 3-4 hours. Didn't put any training walls. Pm your email ill forward you the plan I have not made any landscaping plan yet and my handover is almost a month away. Is it required? Builder never asked for it either. Private certifier also said it was not required for the house build Will I need it or need to send to the council? Also does anyone know what is being built at the end of the baw baw avenue as I am sure all stages were finished for one Minto. Not sure if more housing buildings are made. Ladscaping plan was required for the private certifier. Now that's done already its unlikely you need it. However for the occupancy certificate make sure you meet their requirements. Not sure about baw baw avenue though. There is big development going on for hundreds of meters. Good luck Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 710Oct 26, 2015 4:51 pm The development at the end of Baw Baw Avenue is part of Stage 10. From memory it is 10F and was sold in September or November 2014. You can still access the masterplan online. Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 711Oct 26, 2015 9:42 pm JandJ_OneMinto The development at the end of Baw Baw Avenue is part of Stage 10. Called campbelltown council, development today and they said the same that it is residential part of development (stage 10). Was surprised how come as we bought in stage 12. Thanks for confirming. Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 712Oct 26, 2015 9:44 pm Hey Guys, Another quick question. Any recommendations for: 1. Retaining wall ( 1 m high and appro- 15 metre) 2. Fencing 3. Driveway I have taken few quotes and are quite expensive. Dont want to go super cheap, but with persons having experience, quality and reasonable rates. Cheers G. Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 713Oct 30, 2015 10:40 am Any suggestions guys for my query above? We have a handover date of 13th Nov. 2015. Want to finalise these things. Main is Retaining Wall. Main is Retaining Wall. Hi Gaggy, 1-Retaining wall : still looking but I am considering masonry blocks, looks better than logs and can match color to my bricks. I'll DYI, I have around 600mm high with 10m wide 2-Fencing, I went with a guy but won't recommend. Just don't pay over $85, that's the going price. Its a simple job. 3-Driveway, I've done it with a guy his phone number is : 0449066052. Ask him to show you the job he did for me. You will need to apply for council vehicle crossing application before starting the job. Good luck ! I have soil excavation at the back as well. which I want to do now as after the fence it will be difficult to move trucks in as he neighbour lots are empty. Do you or anyone knows cheap soil excavation people who can do levelling as well? Does your fencing have any retaining? Mine has few metres at the back. For council vehicle crossing application, I am asking the person to do it. I think they charge like $130 for it. Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 716Oct 30, 2015 1:56 pm Gaggy Thanks Askanaan. I will pm a number of a guy who does excavation, he did my driveway exacavation and some at the back too. I have a big retaining wall at the back of my block, probably 3 m high. I think for the vehicle crossing, you can do it, will take you only 2 minutes to lodge it online, you need the license number and public liablity insurance details of the person who will perform the job. Thanks. If you can pm me tge details. Why your driveway guy did not do levelling of your driveway? I have a huge retaining wall at the back by Landcom. Almost 3- 4 metres high. I will need to leave 500 mm from it and retain 800mm to 1m . Thinking to get timber retaining wall. Can we do block ones ourselves? Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 718Nov 05, 2015 11:17 am Hi everyone... Anybody got NBN in Minto? I applied since 2/10/2015 and till now no luck. Today I was informed that Landcom is responsible for this and I need to followup with them! No cabling installed yet in my street (Kaputar st). any ideas ? Thanks Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 719Nov 05, 2015 11:31 am askanaan Hi everyone... Anybody got NBN in Minto? I applied since 2/10/2015 and till now no luck. Today I was informed that Landcom is responsible for this and I need to followup with them! No cabling installed yet in my street (Kaputar st). any ideas ? Thanks My friend is building in that street. I asked my neighbours who have moved in on Elizabeth McRae Ave and they have TPG NBN. I also called IINET and they said it is available for my property after April next year. Though my neighbours address was available instantly. They said some third party has already booked in a date for April. Not sure who. Not sure what is going on. Let me know the outcome if you are contacting Landcom. Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 720Nov 12, 2015 8:19 am HI Gaggy, I didn't have to contact Landcom in fact ! My application has been frozen with TPG for over 1 month sitting on their shelves (as expected from them). After several followups someone there found that they need actually to contact NBN ... (Highly professional) NBN sent a technical in a matter of a couple days ! Installation done in a couple of hours only, then the technician confirmed that the service is activated and I should be online, I plugged in the modem and no internet is still accessible. I called TPG and they said its not yet activated by NBN (as if they know more than NBN). After several calls to TPG I got an email saying that NBN technician in coming next week to install my service (which is already installed). I called TPG again and they started bluffing again and again saying that I have to wait for the NBN technician to come and install my service (which is already installed) Luckily I looked at the modem and found the internet green light ON yesterday !!! Totally lost at TPG they still think I have to wait for another week. I don't recommend them to anyone at all, I even had to talk to rude people there.
