Want to finalise these things. Main is Retaining Wall. Hi Gaggy, 1-Retaining wall : still looking but I am considering masonry blocks, looks better than logs and can match color to my bricks. I'll DYI, I have around 600mm high with 10m wide 2-Fencing, I went with a guy but won't recommend. Just don't pay over $85, that's the going price. Its a simple job. 3-Driveway, I've done it with a guy his phone number is : 0449066052. Ask him to show you the job he did for me. You will need to apply for council vehicle crossing application before starting the job. Good luck ! I have soil excavation at the back as well. which I want to do now as after the fence it will be difficult to move trucks in as he neighbour lots are empty. Do you or anyone knows cheap soil excavation people who can do levelling as well? Does your fencing have any retaining? Mine has few metres at the back. For council vehicle crossing application, I am asking the person to do it. I think they charge like $130 for it. Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 716Oct 30, 2015 1:56 pm Gaggy Thanks Askanaan. I will pm a number of a guy who does excavation, he did my driveway exacavation and some at the back too. I have a big retaining wall at the back of my block, probably 3 m high. I think for the vehicle crossing, you can do it, will take you only 2 minutes to lodge it online, you need the license number and public liablity insurance details of the person who will perform the job. Thanks. If you can pm me tge details. Why your driveway guy did not do levelling of your driveway? I have a huge retaining wall at the back by Landcom. Almost 3- 4 metres high. I will need to leave 500 mm from it and retain 800mm to 1m . Thinking to get timber retaining wall. Can we do block ones ourselves? Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 718Nov 05, 2015 11:17 am Hi everyone... Anybody got NBN in Minto? I applied since 2/10/2015 and till now no luck. Today I was informed that Landcom is responsible for this and I need to followup with them! No cabling installed yet in my street (Kaputar st). any ideas ? Thanks Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 719Nov 05, 2015 11:31 am askanaan Hi everyone... Anybody got NBN in Minto? I applied since 2/10/2015 and till now no luck. Today I was informed that Landcom is responsible for this and I need to followup with them! No cabling installed yet in my street (Kaputar st). any ideas ? Thanks My friend is building in that street. I asked my neighbours who have moved in on Elizabeth McRae Ave and they have TPG NBN. I also called IINET and they said it is available for my property after April next year. Though my neighbours address was available instantly. They said some third party has already booked in a date for April. Not sure who. Not sure what is going on. Let me know the outcome if you are contacting Landcom. Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 720Nov 12, 2015 8:19 am HI Gaggy, I didn't have to contact Landcom in fact ! My application has been frozen with TPG for over 1 month sitting on their shelves (as expected from them). After several followups someone there found that they need actually to contact NBN ... (Highly professional) NBN sent a technical in a matter of a couple days ! Installation done in a couple of hours only, then the technician confirmed that the service is activated and I should be online, I plugged in the modem and no internet is still accessible. I called TPG and they said its not yet activated by NBN (as if they know more than NBN). After several calls to TPG I got an email saying that NBN technician in coming next week to install my service (which is already installed). I called TPG again and they started bluffing again and again saying that I have to wait for the NBN technician to come and install my service (which is already installed) Luckily I looked at the modem and found the internet green light ON yesterday !!! Totally lost at TPG they still think I have to wait for another week. I don't recommend them to anyone at all, I even had to talk to rude people there. That is a really good attitude Akin to you catch more flies with honey than vinegar.
