Can I ask which one you picked? They're just the standard Vistapave in Charcoal. I thought so, but wasn't sure if it was the Charcoal or one of the dark granite collection vistapave ones. Are you planning to seal them after handover? Probably with a semi-gloss or maybe a gloss sealer. Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour - On a roll -Aircon fitted! 626Aug 03, 2014 7:02 pm We'd like to think just a few weeks. There's not great deal to do but we're not sure. The roof still needs to be repaired and I think this will be the major hold-up. I think they're struggling to find decent roof-sheeters as there seem to be a few BT houses around here with half-finished roofs. Still to finish: Plumbing, shower screens, balcony tiling, balcony balustrade, painting, kitchen appliances, benchtop to be replaced, garage doors, fix external tap and then finish off accratex. All reasonably small jobs but still enough of them to make it difficult to predict. We just hope they carry on at the pace of the last couple of weeks. My Thread (Halls Head Beach House): viewtopic.php?f=31&t=67006 Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour - On a roll -Aircon fitted! 629Aug 03, 2014 8:55 pm mrsmith "Replace bench tops". What happened? The "cooktop" benchtop was fitted in the wrong place. It should have been flush with the cabinets at the fridge end but wasn't. Craig drew a line on the benchtop where it needed cutting back to. The fitters didn't cut the benchtop they just moved it further along so now we have a thick black marker line across it at one end. We're not overly impressed with the island benchtop either. It hasn't been polished underneath so there's writing (and chinagraph pencil) on the underside. fmac had the same with their island http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?p=1058172#p1058172 too. I think they sad it's because theirs was with a budget builder. Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour - On a roll -Aircon fitted! 630Aug 03, 2014 10:52 pm I heard that having the under bench unpolished and with writing is normal I must now check my bench top!! ( it's so cool that I can now say "my bench top!! because my kitchen is now in!!) Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour - On a roll -Aircon fitted! 631Aug 04, 2014 1:55 pm Stone company said they don't think its acceptable to have writing underneath and that its not a finished product and should be buffered etc. If my bench had writing i would have fought to get it sorted. I totally love those feature tiles, wish I'd seen those when we're picking our tiles!! our stone is the same... sigh. Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour - Garage Doors & another lea 639Aug 12, 2014 7:40 pm Hi janice. Welcome back! One of the ceilings has been repaired the others have just been left/extra screws/painted over. We're still waiting for the roof to be repaired, not heard anything more on that front. It seems to be water-tight so that's one thing. However, we seem to have sprung another leak. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ This one's a bit worrying as it's directly below the ensuite and there really shouldn't be any water around there. On a positive note the garage doors have been fitted. We've noticed that the wall directly on the left of the garage should actually be Domino (the same as the bits that are currently brown) not Lexicon. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ After archetto said they'd been quoted a reasonable price for glass balustrading on their balcony, we thought we'd ask for a quote to upgrade. $2160 for semi-frameless or $3600 for frameless. It's not even 3 metres! We've been quoted less for 8 metres around the pool That's another one for the "After handover" pile. Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour - Garage Doors & another lea 640Aug 12, 2014 8:28 pm Is that leak in the garage or alfresco? Garage door looks good Good to see some progress and nearing completion. My Thread (Halls Head Beach House): viewtopic.php?f=31&t=67006 Depends how much direct sun it gets. Is there any shading (eaves or trees)?
