Getting annoyed. 21May 29, 2013 7:39 am hope issues are sorted quickly for you. you have made it simple for them and still they did not get it right Re: Ben Trager Rokeby Floorplans. Getting annoyed. 22May 29, 2013 9:51 pm Thanks. I had a call early this morning from a very nice sounding Sales Manager. She said the SC is retiring and she is going to be looking after our build. I have a meeting with her tomorrow afternoon so, hopefully, we can get everything sorted and get on with the actual build. Fingers crossed! Re: Ben Trager Rokeby. Getting back on track. 23May 31, 2013 1:27 pm I hope your plans are sorted soon, can imagine how annoying it would be! My Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=62841 Re: Ben Trager Rokeby. Getting back on track. 24May 31, 2013 6:41 pm I met Nadine, the Sales & Marketing Manager who was fantastic. Everything was sorted in less than an hour & I was so impressed I told them once the adjustments are done to send the drawings straight for shire approval. I just wish this had happened 4 weeks ago. At least everything's back on track. Re: Ben Trager Rokeby. Bathroom colour scheme. 25Jun 03, 2013 2:34 am We've jumped the gun a little and started making selections before we've even got a pre-start. It's better to be prepared! We were in the vicinity of the tile shop so we thought we'd have a look at the choices. An hour (or two) later, with the excellent assistance of Mark from Swan Ceramics in Osbourne Park, we've decided on tiles and colours for the ensuite & main bathroom. The Ensuite: Pure black, polished porcelain 300x300 floor tiles. MB builders selection 400x200 Gloss white wall tiles, Brushed Aluminium mosaic feature tile. Laminex Zincworks cabinet & doors, Essastone Carbon work surface. The main bathroom: Cadiz Marengo floor 316x316mm tiles, MB builders selection 400x200 Gloss white wall tiles, Blue-black metallic glass feature tile. Laminex Zincworks cabinet & doors, Essastone Carbon work surface. Apologies for poor pictures. We'll get better ones next time. The Cadiz floor tiles are absolutely gorgeous. This what they look like: Re: Ben Trager Rokeby. Bathroom colour scheme. 27Jun 03, 2013 1:28 pm Yep much better to have a clear picture in your mind of what you want before getting to pre start, just as you have suggested. I think it makes the whole process much more enjoyable. Re: Ben Trager Rokeby. Bathroom colour scheme. 28Jun 03, 2013 2:53 pm I spent 6 months choosing my colours before prestart so no such thing as too early. Re: Ben Trager Rokeby. Bathroom colour scheme. 29Jun 04, 2013 11:03 pm Hi. I've been reading your post over last couple of months. It sounds like you have been following a similar path to us. We signed at great rush our PPA in late Feb. We had a couple of weeks wait until we received our prelim finance approval. In between then and now had a few hiccups including some personnel issues where our PPA quotes and contracts were a fair way off. We believe in the product - timber frame, insulated panels, upper floor slab and high specifications; but were questioning this a week or so back. About the same time you had frustrations. I'd be interested in your build progress as we are probably going to be moving forward at the same time. Re: Ben Trager Rokeby. Bathroom colour scheme. 30Jun 04, 2013 11:13 pm I think our problems were down to the Sales Consultant who, although we got on well with, was looking to retire. Also he got moved to a different display so getting to see him face-to-face wasn't possible. As soon as we got to someone else to deal with, things seemed a bit better. mrsmith, I hope it all works out for you. What design are you going with? Re: Ben Trager Rokeby. Bathroom colour scheme. 31Jun 04, 2013 11:31 pm Your choices will look lovely. We also went with carbon for bathrooms. Really like the feature mosaic for the ensuite! My Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=62841 Re: Ben Trager Rokeby. Bathroom colour scheme. 32Jun 04, 2013 11:40 pm emacleo0 Your choices will look lovely. We also went with carbon for bathrooms. Really like the feature mosaic for the ensuite! We fell in love with both of the feature tiles. We're thinking of going for the Aluminium mosaic for the kitchen splashback too but at $55 per tile, it may be a little too expensive. Have you had any further progress with your build? We demand an update. Re: Ben Trager Rokeby. Bathroom colour scheme. 33Jun 05, 2013 12:01 am Yes I have been a bit slack with updates , just about to add another now My Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=62841 Re: Ben Trager Rokeby. Bathroom colour scheme. 34Jun 06, 2013 4:14 pm We are building a Prano but have reversed it so family and extended alfresco are at the front overlooking a park, extended the kitchen and redesigned upstairs for the kids, starting with a bath in bathroom. We have also been following emacleo0's progress and seeing an actual build take place. My Thread (Halls Head Beach House): viewtopic.php?f=31&t=67006 Re: Ben Trager Rokeby. Bathroom colour scheme. 35Jun 12, 2013 12:58 pm I had similar problems with my changes. I wish they put more effort into the customer at the design stage, It really confuses me that they think we won't notice when spending over 300k on something. Hope it goes well from now on. BTW the prices seem quite good for a 2 story home, ours is 340k for a single story. Great things to those who wait. 36Jun 13, 2013 11:41 pm After last nights frustated rant, the fantastic Nadine has pull a rabbit out of the hat and presented us with finished (almost) working drawings. We've booked in to sign the contracts next week and meet Ben himself. We are back to being back in love with Ben Trager. Ground floor plan. In your ensuite I'd out double shower where vanity currently is then add vanitys between shower and toilet. In kitchen add a panel next to fridge so things don't fall beside it. Our current house was same layout so we added panel plus overheads over fridge and next to range hood either side. Re: Ben Trager. Great things to those who wait. 38Jun 13, 2013 11:54 pm LeanneR Looks good. Thanks Leanne. We're happy with it now. LeanneR In your ensuite I'd out double shower where vanity currently is then add vanitys between shower and toilet. Would agree with you but we were quoted $2500 to go for a double vanity and, try as we might, we can't justify that amount for so little. LeanneR In kitchen add a panel next to fridge so things don't fall beside it. Our current house was same layout so we added panel plus overheads over fridge and next to range hood either side. We're going to do overheads, ourselves, after handover. Thanks for the advice, the panel sounds like a plan. Re: Ben Trager. Great things to those who wait. 40Jun 14, 2013 12:09 am We said something similar, although with more swear words. I think the proposal that a supply and demand curve are a natural law are well exaggerated. Wages never seem to follow this curve, and also prices for supply are sticky… 18 19142 Go to an actual paint store, not bunnings. Dulux even have trade centers.
