Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour - Could it get any worse? 1021Dec 06, 2014 12:35 am Good grief owf, that is just... You would think that your house would be safe for you to move into at the very least! This must be leaving a very bad taste in your mouth, and I feel for you. It's just frustrating that it seems like there's not much anyone can do about it unless you want to go through litigation. Shame on BT for their appalling behaviour through out this entire build, and afterwards. viewtopic.php?t=72683 Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour - Could it get any worse? 1022Dec 06, 2014 1:09 am Wow! Its a wonder BT get any business at all with their poor quality workmanship and service, and their complete lack of care for their clients. Shame on you Ben Trager. So sorry you are continuing to endure the consequences of this company's stuff ups owf. I hope Mrs owf is ok. Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour - Could it get any worse? 1023Dec 06, 2014 3:18 am oncewerefurries It's pure luck. A couple of millimetres and she could have lost an eye. Or worse....absolutely insane I am glad you are taking this further and seeking legal advice, absolutely friggen incredible. Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour - Could it get any worse? 1024Dec 06, 2014 12:03 pm Wow, that's terrible. Thankfully the Mrs didn't get more severely hurt. The fact she needed hospital treatment is a huge scare though. Sorry for all the mishaps you guys have experienced along the way. I hope we don't move in and find the same sort of problems. Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour - Could it get any worse? 1025Dec 06, 2014 12:40 pm Terrible news! Did you have a building inspector go over the house at PCI? Not a good thought what else might happen.............. Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour - Could it get any worse? 1026Dec 06, 2014 2:17 pm What a terrible and horrible thing to happen and for you both to have to go through. So glad to hear mrs owf is going to be okay, but my god what if she wasn't! You are completely right to take it further, in what universe should it be okay to be afraid in your own home of being injured because of the negligence of the people that built it. BT should hang their heads in shame for their approach to your entire build, including their apparent lack of concern when a client is actually physically injured due to this. I really hope taking it this next step gets you the outcome you are hoping for. Like Pan I cant wait for the day that you are able to post a happy comment about just being able to enjoy your new home, as it should be. Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour - Could it get any worse? 1027Dec 06, 2014 2:59 pm im shocked , dont know what to say, glad Mrs Owf is ok, my build with BT didnt start well & after reading this, I no longer hold any hope for things improving, cant understand BT not calling you himself, i honestly think he doesnt know what is happening on the ground, on the other hand pool looks fantastic, im jelous. Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour - Could it get any worse? 1028Dec 06, 2014 3:34 pm Glad she was ok, how scary hopefully an apology comes even tho it's a little too late. Apparently he had been told that a fan had come loose but hadn't been told that mrs owf had been injured. He didn't seem too impressed at that. Druid1 on the other hand pool looks fantastic, im jelous. Thanks. It looked fantastic last Saturday when it was cleaned. It's started filling with sand again but it still looks pretty good, especially with the LEDs on. Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour - Could it get any worse? 1030Dec 06, 2014 6:50 pm Well thank goodness she is ok. How horrible for you both ______________________________________________________________________ Signed up Jan 2013........Almost done! Most of these issues are never told to the big boss. I ended up leaving a message to the big boss if he didnt wont to talk to me dont worry and dont bother passing it down to anyone else . He rang me back and then I started getting updates and things started to happen to get problems fixed .goodluck . Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour - Could it get any worse? 1032Dec 07, 2014 6:13 am Is the builder a member of the Master builders association ? , give fair trades a call as well time for action ,most important you need to keep everything in a detailed dairy times you have called what you were calling about and your phone log its a pain but if you end up in court when you produce this the builder will have no answer ,I have been in this industry for over 33 years now at it really gets to me when I see workmanship like this, the SS needs a kick up the back side along with the so called tradesman who are carrying out the work maybe if they were to suspend their licence until they had been on a weeks course this would wake a few people up, the only thing that these people understand is money cut that off from them ,tell them to do a proper job and you will get paid no problem Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour - Could it get any worse? 1033Dec 07, 2014 10:17 am I've just caught up on your build. WHAT. THE. F*#K. Have you sought legal advice? At the very least I'd be getting a report from a qualified independent building inspector so you at know exactly where you stand, especially in relation to the BCA. I'm so sorry you're being put through this. It's not what you expect when you sign on for a new home. You must be so disappointed. Glad Mrs OWF had only minor injuries. It could have been much worse. Our Build Thread: The "Extended" Marina by Visionone Homes Our Inspirations: Frank Lloyd Wright | Houzz Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour - Could it get any worse? 1038Dec 08, 2014 12:37 pm So glad you have contacted the media. Things only seem to happen for people when their problem is televised....Is there a building ombudsman? Or the Master builder's association? This is unbelievable!! I can't believe the company has not even apologised to you let alone done anything else Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour - Could it get any worse? 1039Dec 08, 2014 3:02 pm Truly shocked to read such an awful experience. I am glad to hear Ben called himself, I would expect nothing less!! Re: Ben Trager - Secret Harbour - Could it get any worse? 1040Dec 08, 2014 3:16 pm OMG OWF. What the hell is happening? I can't believe such terrible luck. So Glad Mrs OWF is OK. My Build, viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64837 Depends how much direct sun it gets. Is there any shading (eaves or trees)? If the sun hits a window directly it doesn't matter too much if it's double or single… 1 12658 9 24787 Congratulations! Nice to put that to bed before christmas, now you can relax 3 7168 |
