Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 09, 2014 1:38 pm Hi all, Sorry if this question has been answered as I tried to had a look around but can't seem to find the right answer. I'm building with PD and I understand that the standard contract will say we will be compensated at $250 per week if there is a delay beyond the completion date. My question is whether anyone has successfully increase that amount, let's say to $500 per week if there is a delay? Or am I dreaming? Thanks Re: Porter Davis - Can we increase compensation for delay? 2May 09, 2014 5:02 pm I got shot down asking for a larger bathtub! If you get that over the line you are doing very well!! I'm sure if I asked for it say prior to accepting the tender, they would've been more flexible but as bashworth mentions they'll probably add that risk onto their costs somewhere. http://camdenbuild.blogspot.com.au/ by invite only please pm me Re: Porter Davis - Can we increase compensation for delay? 5May 09, 2014 9:55 pm Just be prepared to walk away, that's all you need when negotiating.
