I think might have to steal your laundry seat and hooks idea, looks very practical. The jute rug is from perth natural floors in subi. This was a custom made size but they have 2m x 3m ready made ones in their shop i think for only $250. The planter boxes are from bunnings. I plan on buying a lot more for my front verandah. I love them! My build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64437 Re: Dale Alcock in the Perth Hills...a few more pics... 592Dec 03, 2013 11:25 pm fancy pants Everything looks so nice! I love your herb planters, they're so cool. What colour did you go with for your internal doors and door frames, Tracy? Just went for the standard colour, solver misty white. Its definitely an off white. Ive painted the bedroom skirtings the same colour. Just have to work up the energy to start on the living room skirtings now My build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64437 Re: Dale Alcock in the Perth Hills...a few more pics... 593Dec 03, 2013 11:30 pm You're a champ! Re: Dale Alcock in the Perth Hills...a few more pics... 598Dec 09, 2013 1:06 pm Tracy try trimming the grass tree right back (so its almost just the black stump). They need lots of water for the first few weeks and some sort of native fertilizer and they're pretty hardy after that. They do take a while to get going though. We have successfully moved a few from our block to my folks garden, they look fab. I hope its not too late for yours. After transplanting you must water your grass tree for the next 3 weeks with 50 litres per day. Water for the next two summers 2 days per week @50 litres and 1day per week @ 50 litres during cooler months. Remove flower spikes when they are 30cm long for the first two years. Expect that some foliage will brown during the first months. Apply Seasol every 4 to 6 weeks. Please go to our online support if you suspect your tree is not healthy.
