It's been a very hectic few days. Was busy all day Saturday moving. And then Sunday I spent the whole day cleaning the rental. I was too cheap to pay a cleaner, although the whole time I was cursing myself that I didn't!! I haven't unpacked too much today but I'm ok with that. The new house is great. Have already found a few things we should have done differently but nothing unbearable. I would post pics of us moved in, but to be honest, the house doesn't look as nice with our old furniture in it, ha ha! Still have to pinch myself that this is our house. Have been having lots of dinner parties with friends to get some use out of my oven (and ofcourse to show off the house). We havent done a great deal since we moved in. My hubby and I like discussing all the details of a project but take a while to actually start it. Ill post a few photos later for all you picture piggies!!! My build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64437 Re: Dale Alcock in the Perth...moving in tomorrow! 575Dec 01, 2013 11:06 am EmyN Ooooh pics pics pics pics pics!! And any advice when you say you would have done some things differently?? Just some minor things. Our bedroom door should have been hinged on the other side. The verandah post in front of our living room doors. Our high benches have made getting appliances (dishwasher) a bit harder to find. Nothing major. Are you doing subway tiles? If so, just think about where they will end. Ours end where the bench ends and they needed to be cut. Doesnt look too great. I would have made the cabinetry and bench go all the way to a door frame so the subway tiles would finish at a door frame. Would look a lot neater.
