Thanks SB. Our CLO is excellent in getting back to us promptly. Our larder issue is resolved and it ended up meaning a $1000 credit and a door we like better. One thing which has disappointed me about our builder is that they don't seem to think outside the box on issues. In this example, it wasn't until I had called the manufacturer myself and found out our different options that we could do it a different way. I would have hoped that the builder would have suggested this instead, and as a bonus it's a cheaper option. There have been a few issues like this where it was my husband and I who thought of a solution to bring down the costs for a similar outcome etc. Not sure if all builders are like this?
I'm afraid it is, well in our case anyhow. We had same issue with our pantry door. Took a few weeks to sort but we went from 2 x 720, then 620 and now 520 doors, very disappointing. We were also told we couldn't have cavity sliders but have since found out they are now offering them to new clients. This was just one of the things that have been happening and I'm finding like you that they don't think outside the box at all. It's all too hard it seems. We had awful CLOs with DAH a few years ago but on the other hand we had pretty much no dramas with the build, complete opposite this time. Good luck with your build, the end product will be awesome and their after sales service is faultless.
That's great to know that there after sales service is good. Can I ask why you didn't build with them again? Did the CLO dramas put you off?
