I can only hope that years from now when they are grown up and have things they are proud of that someone does the same to them. Re: Dale Alcock in the Perth Hills..Vandalised :( 423Sep 27, 2013 5:37 pm I'm so sorry to hear this, Tracy. Vandalism is the one crime I just don't understand. You destroy things... for the sake of destroying things? Only the smallest minds could be amused by that kind of activity. Fingers crossed the damage isn't too extensive and you can get back on track as soon as possible. Re: Dale Alcock in the Perth Hills..Vandalised :( 424Sep 27, 2013 6:44 pm Thanks for the support everyone. We had the forensic police out this arvo taking photos and dusting for fingerprints. Im sure it was teenagers and I highly doubt they will be caught. Bring back public floggings I say. That will be a better deterrent than the slap on the wrist they get now! Well, im not sure if we will get handover on the 7th as i doubt our bank will have the funds ready in time. As long as it can be sometime that week as our flooring starts the following week. We got our final account today. The siteworks came in slightly lower than the total provided. Some of the amounts were way over the provisions and some of the provisions were not needed. To be honest, with all the dramas today I couldnt be bothered questioning any of it. I just signed it and have decided to forget about it. My build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64437 Re: Dale Alcock in the Perth Hills..Vandalised :( 425Sep 27, 2013 6:52 pm So sorry for the issues you are having. Kids these days just seem to be getting worse, I worry what it will be like when my kids grow up. Hope things get sorted for you soon Re: Dale Alcock in the Perth Hills..Vandalised :( 426Sep 27, 2013 7:19 pm This is one of the biggest stresses for me. We had a part of our back wall spray painted and the brick cleaners removed what they could but not all of it. When our garage was poured, I was worried that someone would come along and stomp on it when wet. It sucks because even though the builders insurance covers it, it can cause delays and inconvenience. Re: Dale Alcock in the Perth Hills..Vandalised :( 428Sep 29, 2013 12:58 am Hi tracy Just started reading your thread and love your styling. Thanks for all the info. Weve just signed with dale alcock. Our build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=66797 Re: Dale Alcock in the Perth Hills..Vandalised :( 430Sep 29, 2013 9:44 am Thanks guys. I was hoping it would be cleaned up yesterday but no. The painters are back on Tuesday so I guess it will be up to them to sort most of it now. I think im going to be a little paranoid now, ive been checking all the windows and doors are locked every night. I better get off this forum (im slightly addicted) and clean the rental. We have another home open today. Its on the market and i have been doing home opens for months now! One of the reasons i cant wait to move! I think im just going to insist that there are to be no home opens in my last few weeks in the rental! My build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64437 Re: Dale Alcock in the Perth Hills..Vandalised :( 431Sep 29, 2013 3:56 pm Tracyw, just read about the vandalism. What a terrible thing to happen. Sincerely hope everything is cleaned up quickly and that you can move in soon to deter such idiots. I can't understand the joy some people get from damaging other people's property. Re: Dale Alcock in the Perth Hills..Vandalised :( 432Sep 30, 2013 3:50 am As it has been suggested before, It will be teenagers looking for something to do. They have no appreciation for anything much in general at this stage of thier life. Dumb things like this, is a cool thing to do. You can only wish Karma comes back to bite them in later life when it's thier had earnt money involved.... Re: Dale Alcock in the Perth Hills..Vandalised :( 433Oct 01, 2013 10:54 am Hi Tracy, I'm so sorry to hear about this! I'm sure your site manager will sort everything else out, but if there's anything I can do to help just let me know. Fingers Crossed it's all sorted and cleaned up soon. I think only other builders can really understand the frustration when things like this happen. The good news is that the painters are back today and its a sunny day in Perth so the outside painting can be done. We have a team of 3 painters and they are doing a brilliant job. I have read horror stories on this forum about painters so i was a little concerned. I even brought down a small list of things which i thought they might have missed and they didnt seem too annoyed. Maybe it was the 6 pack of fresh jam donuts which i brought down for morning tea which saved me. They also said it was lucky the vandalism was all done with water based paint and not enamel cos that would have been a completely different story. The water based is a lot easier to clean up. The painting should be pretty much done today The yard has been cleaned up and there is a cleaner there today working inside. Ive been waiting for the painting to be finished and the clean done so i can take some photos for you all. Hopefully this arvo or tmw morning! 6 more sleeps till handover!!! My build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64437 Re: Dale Alcock in the Perth Hills..6 sleeps till keys!! 436Oct 01, 2013 11:05 pm Took some pics of the kitchen with my phone. The painting is all done and the plastic has come off the bench, although its still very dirty. So nice to see how its all come together and I love it! We plan to eat here on a daily basis so want something the kids cant trash but is also easy to clean. But it would also be great if they are comfortable. Not sure if Im going to get something that is all 3! Good idea with the donuts Re: Dale Alcock in the Perth Hills..a few kitchen pics.... 438Oct 02, 2013 9:14 am Hi Tracy. So exciting about your impending handover, it's come on so quicky all of a sudden. Shame about the vanity but in the grand scale of things a few hundred dollars are minor . Your kitchen is so welcoming, love that look. Take your time about the stools, the right ones will come along you'll see. Furious about the vandalism!! . So sorry you had/have to go through this. I agree about the public flogging. All this stupid softly, softly approach doesn't work, when are they going to figure that out. They need a good smacking IMHO. Oh, and a mouth wash with soap would also go down a treat. Happy days ahead. Even if it's not being sub-divided and you want to keep it as Torrens title, you will still need to talk to a town planner or Council themselves, to see if they will allow… 1 11014 Thanks again Simeon for being so elaborate.
