I will need an additional water meter on the property and have been given the plumber and surveyors names that K deal with. I am finding this a long and tricky process not to mention the additional cost. I have been told to get a section 73 but have just realised that after paying $1000 already and soon another $550 and then plumbing construction work on top of this (and money to get the site re pegged by the surveyor) that this might be something that should be done within the build process?? Am I paying for something that is included in the overall cost and have not been told?
Hi ses78,
We built with Kurmond. Finished December 2014. I am also a surveyor.
I note you are building a duplex. You need separate services for each residence. The sec 73 would have been required in the DA. As you need to put in additional water meter and possibly additional sewer extension to have a separate sewer connection.
Do you intend to subdivide? You will definitely need a sec 73 for this. The company I work for can handle this as well as the surveying for subdivision. PM me for details.
Matt.
