We purchased a titled land in South East and started looking for houses to fit our block. We were looking at Porter Davis (PD) houses & Carlisle.
Dec 2016 - Made Land offer
Jan 2017 - Looked at PD & Carlisle
Feb 2017 - Carlisle warned us PD house might not fit
Feb 2017 - Started finalizing details with PD
Mar 2017 - On the day we were mean to pay the deposit, PD Sales told us that the house they suggested didn’t fit on the block
Mar 2017 - Land Transfer completed (WIN !!)
Mar 2017 - Looked at the second house option suggested by PD Charlton + extended living
Mar 2017 - Was confirmed this will fit. We decided to move forward
Apr 2017 - Had a contact from the PD sales GM to say that the house start date will be pushed to July even though at sales we were promised June
May 2017 - Completed the colour appointment
May 2017 – Booked in to Contract, appointment was cancelled 2 days prior saying the alfresco and the façade doesn’t fit & that start date will now be pushed to Aug
At this point we had lost it !
June 2017 – Finally contract appointment scheduled. E-mailed us the contract details at 5pm the day before the appointment (not sure if this is normal).
When in to the appointment !!! we were over charged by 18k ! incentives given previously wasn’t captured (We were asked to provide proof – Thank you god we had them)
Over charged for so many other things
Even though they kept promising us that we will receive credits at contracts – credit was given as a bulk amount and was absolutely nothing.
We refused to sign and now waiting for the updated contract
Why didn’t we Sign up with Carlisle !
We have met the Carlisle consultant now and is planning to go ahead with them. They are promising the same start date as PD. So we really have nothing too much to loose now that we have wasted 6 moths of the year.
Anything we should look out for ?
