Thanks Jacinta..
I thought it's for the applications filed after july 1st and independent of land contract. The news report was not clear enough. Do you have any source for this info..

Take your money and run . I'm waiting exactly a month today just to fix defects from my last inspection.Wish I went somewhere else. Sorry to hear about your situation but if it's not too late just walk away. I'm not sure about the land aspect as we bought our land seperate from the builder. We had a meeting with our bank (one of the big 4), and she was only able to tell us that it was for building contracts signed after July 1st. I didnt ask for many more details, as we signed our contract last week so arent eligible. She did mention that they hadn't been given much info. I'd say if you have purchased a house and land package (however have not signed the building contract), than you should still be eligible. What happens if they take months to fix it? That is total BS! I requested the contact details of the Regional Construction Manager.I've been told he will phone me and still waiting for the call.Dont think there's anything I can do because they're still in their building contract period. Its very frustrating when you know you paid up till fixing stage and the brickwork isn't even finished. Still waiting for the dreaded approvals, so today the developer told us to change some stuff on the facade render as a neighbour had a similar house and no two houses can be the same. I think HBC was slow in submitting my plans, meaning others got in first. I'm finding them very slow with things, everything is going to take "3 weeks". if i was you i would post a review or two online and they will attend to you pretty quick. Hope they pull up their socks and finish for you soon. Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 4671Mar 09, 2017 8:43 pm they must remove them, makes you doubt the ones they publish. in other news, I just got my developer's approval. Not sure what comes next but surely i must be close to being handed to construction. You will be handed over to Construction department where you will get a liason officer.Takes about 5 to 10 working days for them to organise materials and tradies. They will also ask you to go over your final plans. The really irritating part is that they don't even acknowledge that it has happened. right now its beside the point, we're too far invested to cancel out now. On much happier news, like I said had my colours apt.
