I asked for a change but our prestart consultant is refusing to do so. Who was your consultant and any tips on what to say to get them get agree. We want a built in hob instead of freestanding but she's not willing to change it I had Stacey she was a funny one... not happy with how they do things and their "customer service". Your the customer your house ypu ask for what u want. Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 4264Sep 02, 2016 7:12 am Veebeevb We got our first building report from Darbecca today. A lot to fix sadly. The floor is uneven in every room, we have problems with the plumbing, pipes not to code, etc.. Pretty shattered with the first report. I've told my husband we'll have to call the site supervisor tomorrow to find out where to from here. I don't want to hand money over til it's fixed. The report even says, if they don't fix some of the screw ins above the Windows, the brickies will have problems with the bricklaying. I'm pretty shattered and am hoping it gets fixed asap. Anyone else had these issues and what did you do about it? hey I was so upset about our first report too. I made a huge song and dance about it. My SS was great, he rang me and read through each item and told me how he would rectify it and when. He then arranged a walk through once the items were rectified to show us. Anything that was rectified that we couldn't view (because they built something else over it) he took a photo to send to me and Darbecca. It may also be worth booking Darbecca in for a follow up to verify the issues have been resolved Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 4265Sep 02, 2016 10:58 am LILPOM Rinku Hi Lilpom, Glad they changed the grout color for you. I'm with her too and I asked to change something but she said no.I asked her to consider that we signed 15 months ago but she CBA about it and said no.Hope the build quality is better than their customer service. Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 4266Sep 02, 2016 1:09 pm I think it depends on the consultant and how unreasonable they are... Mine luckily allowed me to change colours of all roof cladding and change laundry splashback tiles however said anymore variations would be charged for. I agree I really hope the build quality is at a good standard !!! We are awaiting council approval and will be building within the next month (everything getting passed of course). I wonder what the HBC SS does if these issues aren't picked up by an external??? Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 4276Sep 05, 2016 1:38 pm Hi Leesh9, The kitchen and flooring is looking great! Just wondering what stone bench tops you have? And how much extra was it to have the kitchen sink under undermounted? Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 4278Sep 07, 2016 4:05 pm If SS fixes issues reported by Darbecca. Do they click photographs as a reference? Because they are telling me that it was fixed and there is plaster over the things, so iIcan't see it. So there is no proof that the same was fixed or what's under the plaster.
