Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 4501Dec 09, 2016 12:22 am Hi Peeps, I am new to this forum and I have found your posts very helpful. I have the colour selection appointment next week and I am reading the posts to make sure that I don't forget anything in terms of upgrades and additions. Is there anyone who has gone for the Duke façade with the marble or travertine colour scheme? It would be great if someone could post a photo of the duke façade. I have been driving around Cranbourne and Clyde North to find a house with the Duke façade as a few of the post have indicated that the colour scheme in the red booklet does not really help. The photos from LILPOM have helped with the interior... I am definitely going for storm interior unless wife wants to revert back to harvest colour scheme. Any photos with harvest colour scheme out there??? I have done some research about the solar water heater and the placement of the panels. In the preliminary drawings for my house, the solar panels are facing the South. As we are in the southern hemisphere, the panels should be facing North. Has anyone had any issues about the position of the solar panels by HB??? Didn't know there was a such a big difference of layout between the 2. [/quote] Ours is very small its 16.91 by 15 or 16. The Eureka need to lose like 30 or 40 cm to fit it but homebuyers can not alter plans. We have a diagonal splay of 3m which made the issue. I wanted to change builder but we have another house going on with Boutique so we stuck with the one builder. After our valuation came back for the build things might change tho. The Eureka is hands down much better design but what can you do. There is only 2 facades for the Aspect a free one or a 5k one lol. Anyway hopefully goes ahead soon. We have found it invaluable as this is our first time building and as you all know can be a bit overwhelming. We have purchased the Vibe 22 and added a kids retreat instead of the standard fourth bedroom.. We have signed the PWC and had the colour appointment already. Can't wait to start building when our land titles next year. Looking forward to watching everyone's else's home building experience with Homebuyers centre, as well. Especially grateful to LILPOM, for your advice regarding the storm interior (white grout intead of the standard grout colour, it saved the day). Cheers...
