Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 3848May 28, 2016 3:27 pm Spoke too soon! Floors went in this morning and they look soooo beautiful. I could only see them through the front window because I didn't have gum boots on to get down the side but wow so pleased! Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 3854May 28, 2016 10:16 pm bugnada Wow - flooring looks amazing! You must be over the moon! I'm soooo happy, I reckon the first time I unlock the door and step inside I'm going to bawl my eyes out, hahaha. I have wall to wall floorboards (because of the pugs) so need to start thinking about rugs. I want a big one in the lounge and theatre, and a runner in the hall. I already have one for the baby's room in yellow and white chevron. It's made from recycled drinking straws, is waterproof but soft and spongy enough for the baby to play on. Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 3855May 28, 2016 10:24 pm We have a chevron baby play mat too but in black and white - great for tummy time when Ada was little and can easily be wiped down to keep clean. Let me know if you come across any nice runners - we still haven't adjusted to the constant scratching sound when our boy walks along the flooring. Ohhhh that noise, I'm used to it after a eight years of floor boards but it's annoying. I'm having trouble finding anything decent. I need to go to some rug shops Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 3857May 28, 2016 10:30 pm It sometimes drives me insane - I feel like I have 4 pugs following me rather than 1! Did you see if your kitchen appliances are in? What other items need to be completed other than a site clean and tidy? Did you see if your kitchen appliances are in? What other items need to be completed other than a site clean and tidy? I couldn't see if the appliances were in because my site is a mud pit and I was wearing little ballet flats and carrying a baby We might go down today in more appropriate footwear and check though. By my count the only things left to do was the kitchen appliances, the sink (which was there just not installed) and the site clean up. The front yard was still very messy.
