Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 21, 2013 2:41 pm First time poster, long time stalker! Lol I just wanted to start my own thread with a timeline for our build. This will be our third build but our first time with Plunkett. So far things have been a bit slow but not just by Plunkett but with a very slow mortgage broker who has held everything up for a while. Right now we are all systems go and we have just sent off the paper work for our first progress payment so I'm hoping we will see some progress very soon. It's very exciting and I'm looking forward to sharing. Once I figure out how to post photos I with upload our plans and colour selections. Re: Our Plunkett build Mandurah 3Apr 21, 2013 8:00 pm Hi Nic and Shane, welcome to the forum and hours of fun Plunkett are a great builder, they were my very first back in 1989. Which one are you building? Don't be too disheartened by the slowness, I think all builders are experiencing a bit of an unexpected boom, slowing things down a little. Getting a good SS and an easy to communicate with CLO is the main thing. Good luck with it all and fingers crossed everything goes really smoothly for you Pictures soon? Re: Our Plunkett build Mandurah 4Apr 21, 2013 8:39 pm Hi everyone we are building in Meadow Springs. I'm pretty sure I have the same feature tiles but don't have a photo of them. BTW if you opt for the IMG code in photobucket it will show the photo on the thread instead of having to click on the link - just in case that's how you'd prefer it Re: Our Plunkett build Mandurah 6Apr 21, 2013 9:07 pm We are building a version of the Rosebay design. Very similar with just a few changes. So its called a special design because we made so many changes. I have tried the img thing lets hope it works Re: Our Plunkett build Mandurah 7Apr 21, 2013 9:12 pm ok I will try again sorry guys here is the link to I work this out... http://s1298.photobucket.com/user/nican ... sort=3&o=0 House plans Re: Our Plunkett build Mandurah 8Apr 21, 2013 9:20 pm That's a lot of changes to the original. So nice to see a bit more of an unusual design. How did you come with it all? Must have taken you forever to fine tune it? Well done!! A friend of mine is in Brackenridge Ramble. Meadow springs is nice, we used to live in stage 1 many moons ago. Re: Our Plunkett build Mandurah 9Apr 21, 2013 9:55 pm my husband is a chef so he really like the kitchen of the rosebay because of the 3 benches and the large pantry. So we pretty much designed the house around the kitchen. The kitchen is identical to the rosebay right down to the colour selections. We were lucky enough to have a meeting with the designer so she gave us a copy of their selections. The laundry is my old laundry at our last house, it was so functional and had so much space I didn't want to change a thing. I got rid of the 3 toilet as I didn't want to clean another one! and put in extra storage because lets face it you never have enough. And the rest was just made up of what room we had left on the block, and what we could afford. Over all I'm very happy with the design and I can't wait to sit back with a glass of wine and watch my DH cook for me! lol Re: Our Plunkett build Mandurah 10Apr 21, 2013 10:06 pm Haha you've got it all worked out. I'll have whatever is left over from dinner ok?! Re: Our Plunkett build Mandurah 11Apr 21, 2013 10:15 pm Your welcome to join in with a glass of wine while he cooks up a storm SB! lol That is until he see's this post and has me peeling vegie's till my fingers bleed! haha Re: Our Plunkett build Mandurah 12May 16, 2013 9:34 pm Well it's been just under a month since my last post and a lot has happened since I last posted. Our block has been cleared, the footings and slab were scheduled but delayed due to the weather. Then on Friday when we had a clear day the footing were completed and Monday the slab was poured. It gave us three days of nice weather for the slab to start to dry before the weather turned bad again! I have no idea when they are planning for the bricks to start but I'm hoping for a couple of weeks before they start. We got the name and number of our SS which is exciting. We just need the weather to clear up for a while until the roof is on. Lol Re: Our Plunkett build Mandurah 13May 16, 2013 9:49 pm ******CONSLABULATIONS ARE IN ORDER******* Woohoo!!!!!! Great time for a slab, with this cooler weather you'll hopefully have less cracking. Re: Our Plunkett build Mandurah 14May 17, 2013 6:59 pm Thanks serial builder. It certainly is exciting times. I drive past everyday even though I know nothing is going to happen for a few weeks. its become an obsession! Lol Re: Our Plunkett build Mandurah 16Jun 14, 2013 7:54 am How's everything coming along for you? It's been a little quiet. Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 17602 of course there are legal avenues. You've already mentioned it. Sue them. I find it odd that lawyers wouldnt be willing to take on the case, given CCT evidence and… 1 23777 "Losers" "humanity" "off time" "your" "top notch" "love symbol" Sounds like ponzo is done using other people's toilets 36 23896 |
