Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 21, 2013 9:59 am We have bought land in the beautiful Bingara Gorge and are just about to turn soil within the next few weeks Driving around the estate, I have noticed that many people are just starting to build their houses and I thought it I would start a new topic so people building in the same area can share their experiences on here. We are building the Seaview by Rawson homes. Our land is in the Fairways. Re: Building in Bingara Gorge 3Apr 22, 2013 9:07 am I just took a look at your blog and it looks great. We originally wanted to buy land right near you in the Beatty area but the couple of pieces of land we had our eye on sold all of a sudden. I bet you are excited that there is some action on your block. I can't wait to watch something other than grass growing on our block- It has been a long pre-construction period! I am hoping something will happen this week (fingers crossed). Re: Building in Bingara Gorge 5May 07, 2013 9:35 am Thanks Bec_M. Congrats on your slab, it looks like it's all going really well with your build. I bet you can't wait till they start putting up some frames. Re: Building in Bingara Gorge 6Jun 05, 2013 1:21 pm Bec M, you can see my house from yours. Its been great to see someone finally building down that part of the estate and i am sure its not going to be too much longer before there is a lot more started either. B and K, you live very close to the second Eldora that Bazdaric Homes are building in the estate so i know both homes Both homes have been moving along well which is great to see Re: Building in Bingara Gorge 7Jun 09, 2013 2:26 pm BradS how have you enjoyed living in Bingara? I bet your house went up quick. Bazdaric homes are beautiful and seem to go up so fast. Re: Building in Bingara Gorge 8Jun 11, 2013 12:30 pm Its been a big change for me as i have always lived in the suburbs and i have struggled to adjust. I think this has been in part due to the fact its a new house and the first house we have ever built. You just have no idea how much work there is left to do after you get the keys!!! We live on half an acre or 2024sqm's, and there is just so much to look after I planted 160 plus photinia's when we moved in and it has been a lot of hard work to get it all established. We also had 1500sqm's of grass get laid which was hard work to keep alive. Had i known it needed to much water i would have treid to lay it in sections I now know that i dont mind a bit of hussle and bussle that the suburbs have and i am hoping to some extent that BG feels a tiny bit like this once we get the shops etc built. It gives me some sense of safety seeing people walking around at night with their dogs and as he place is only relatively new you dont see that many people, wont help not that its winter either. I am hoping as time goes by i like it more, but thats just me. The house went up fairly quickly. We had 6 weeks in wet weather delays but you get that i guess. All in all it took about 8 months to build. I see your hosue has the frame complete now and the bricks have been delivered Before you know it they will have it at lock up which gets pretty exciting Re: Building in Bingara Gorge 11Jun 29, 2013 10:57 am Hi Brad
Yes it's my husbands brewery, but they call it a workshop, there has been nothing but problems with it (its all in my blog).. Once it's all finished it should be a great space. We are looking forward to living in a quiet suburb, we live in Narellan now and I hate it, it's so busy and noisy so unlike you I'm hoping it stays quiet ha ha.. That's why we are moving they are just putting houses everywhere and not fixing up the roads, it's ridiculous.. We are heading out sometime today to make sure our house hasn't washed away, bloody rain I think we have had quiet enough. Re: Building in Bingara Gorge 12Jun 30, 2013 9:47 pm Hi Bec I am up the other hill lol. You can see he bakc of our house if you stand on your front doorstep and look straight up the hill. Its the creamy coloured Bazdaric Hows the house coming along? I am guessing very slowly this week given the weather we have had here, it hasnt stopped pouring for days I saw you all down at your house today having a look around. I was out the back whipper snipping given its the first bit of sun we have had in some time Re: Building in Bingara Gorge 13Jul 04, 2013 4:04 pm Hi everyone, I thought I would join in on this link as we are building on Lot 172 Beatty Street Our plans are currently lodged for DA Approval..crossing fingers we will have some movement on the land by the end of August! We are next to the corner block on your street. Opposite the horrible white shacks that will gladly be covered up by someones house! Kate Re: Building in Bingara Gorge 16Jul 04, 2013 5:55 pm Actually..what Dean are we talking about here? Not Dean Borwick? Landscaper.. Re: Building in Bingara Gorge 18Jul 04, 2013 6:05 pm What a small world. Dean and my husband have been mates since they were little! I hope he did a good job! lol Re: Building in Bingara Gorge 20Jul 04, 2013 6:30 pm Yes, that's right. So glad we changed our minds! Much smaller block and the back corner is shocking :/ Plus we were worried about the street opposite the block. Much happier with our lovely 1/2 acre block Your house is the Bazdaric isn't it? They have such beautiful facades. go upvc window frames ensure insulation under colorbond. not just sarking, lighter color roof also not sure if you have seen this viewtopic.php?t=5823 last couple of pages… 4 110566 Even if it's not being sub-divided and you want to keep it as Torrens title, you will still need to talk to a town planner or Council themselves, to see if they will allow… 1 11035 |
