Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building in Bingara Gorge 33Jul 17, 2013 7:43 pm BradS what the hell..... Emailing Lendlease now!!!! I really feel for your BradS if this is true - surely it can't be? They can't build a new estate over a proposed mine. YEs, I know my friends who live on Pembroke Pde tell me they knew it was a mine subsidence area, but this radio interview would scare me. I don't believe the government will allow it - surely not! Love to hear what Lendlease have to say for themselves! Re: Building in Bingara Gorge 34Jul 17, 2013 9:31 pm For some reason i dont think they are referring to coal seam gas though in that story.... We all knew about the CSG mines that could happen, but i didnt think there was anything else Bec, hows our house going? Pretty sure i saw you wandering around today Craig, how did piering go? I saw one of your neighbours have a pretty sad accident the other day while moving into their new home Appeared the handbrake failed on their rental truck and it rolled into the house taking out the guttering Needless to say he wasnt very impressed Re: Building in Bingara Gorge 35Jul 18, 2013 6:02 pm Well Brad you were right about the roof. I went to look at the house expecting to just see the roof tiles delivered and instead I saw the roof completed (Except for the garage roof which will be done once the scaffolding is lowered). Yay I was driving around Bingara today to see all the new house being built and I think I saw the house you were talking about with the squashed gutter- poor things! How is everyone else going with their builds? Re: Building in Bingara Gorge 36Jul 18, 2013 7:17 pm Ha ha yes that was me sneaking around, it was so quiet I actually scared myself in the house!!! The gyprock, cornices and waterproofing is all done, we were told the doors would be put on today but not sure if it happened, I will have to look on Saturday. We are starting to think we may be in late September, fingers crossed.
Re: Building in Bingara Gorge 37Jul 18, 2013 10:12 pm What is the deal with this mines business!? I'm kind of freaking out! We were never told that there could possibly be a mine built underneath the estate. We just had in our contract about mine subsidence due to the mines that are already nearby!! Re: Building in Bingara Gorge 38Jul 19, 2013 8:19 am I havent heard anything more about it yet, hopefully its only the coal seam gas mines and nothing else. How many of you guys are on facebook? I only ask because we have a few FB pages for the estate and one in particular that is private. It was created so that the residents can chat away about their home etc and not have their addresses out there for all the world to see. You need to be invited into the group so private message me your names and i will invite you if you want I just had a look at your blog Kate, spewing about the council approval though from most accounts Wollondilly are pretty quick. We had ours submitted on the 19th December and approved by the 20th January which was really quick given the number of public holidays in that period B and K, the roof takes next to no time to put on. Once the sarking and battons are done its a day at most to lay the tiles. Now that you have a roof they have no excuse to get work done when its wet Bec, it wont be too much longer for you now Early October and you should be in? Re: Building in Bingara Gorge 39Jul 19, 2013 9:21 pm Not sure if this is any help but it's about the coal seam gas:
http://www.wollondillyadvertiser.com.au ... w/?cs=1552 B & K your house is enormous!!!! I will have a drive past tomorrow and have a little look. I wish someone would build down near us, hurry up Kate ha ha! I'm surprised the people across the road haven't started yet, we got their plans ages ago from the council, should be soon I would think. Re: Building in Bingara Gorge 40Jul 20, 2013 12:25 pm If thats what it was we all knew about that anyway as our homes needed to be approved by mines subsidence prior to being built. Bec, i dont think it will be long. Most of those block sold about the same time so i reckon another couple of months and it will change a lot on your street. What is the guy opposite you building? Is it single or double storey? go upvc window frames ensure insulation under colorbond. not just sarking, lighter color roof also not sure if you have seen this viewtopic.php?t=5823 last couple of pages… 4 110567 Even if it's not being sub-divided and you want to keep it as Torrens title, you will still need to talk to a town planner or Council themselves, to see if they will allow… 1 11035 |
