We're building in the last stage of the development (11b I think), and I'm just wondering the process that we're likely to follow. The road itself hasnt been lain yet in the Stage, but we've been told that the 'civil works' should be finished in October this year. I'm not even sure what civil works means! Its great to see that you guys are happy with your builds- we just cant wait to get started. Appreciate your feedback guys. Re: Hickinbotham "Coast Estate" Seaford Rise 335Oct 21, 2013 9:23 am Hey DavCar, just wondering if you ended up changing your showerhead as planned? I LOVE ours, its like having a massage while showering! Definately happy we moved it up 100mm though too! Hi captainbecks, It is awesome to finally see another Coast Estate build on here. I can see your stage from my back yard, it looks like they are pretty close to finishing. Have they given you a settlement date for your land yet? I remember being at the point you are at now, i think waiting is the hardest part, Once it starts though it all seems to move pretty quickly. If you have any questions I would be happy to try and answer them Cheers DavCar13 Re: Hickinbotham "Coast Estate" Seaford Rise 338Oct 23, 2013 8:58 am DavCar13 Thanks for your reply DavCar13. Yes, the wait is quite testing! I'm currently living with my inlaws, so patience can at times be stretched! But we know the end result will be great. No date for settlement yet, but we were told civil works would end very soon. I occasionally go up and look at the works, and they seem to be doing quite a lot- laying the road etc. Its great you say that it seems to move quickly after this part. What Stage were you in? Re: Hickinbotham "Coast Estate" Seaford Rise 339Oct 23, 2013 9:15 am Hi captainbecks. I'm not building in the same estate as you, but I am building with Hickinbothan. Our house is tiny, but for an idea of the speed they can work at, we have had slab, frame, pest treatment, windows, electrical and plumbing placement, air-conditioning ducting, insulation, and now yesterday the gyprock, in little over a month. Plus there's a sticker on the window to say that Gliderol has been out to measure. We were told on Tuesday that the kitchen will be fitted in about four weeks. They are moving so fast, I almost want them to slow down, but I believe things do slow down after lock-up, which I'm figuring must be soon for us. Re: Hickinbotham "Coast Estate" Seaford Rise 340Oct 23, 2013 2:18 pm Thanks _lucinda. It sounds like you're happy with how fast it progressed. I hope ours is that fast, but is perhaps a slightly bigger house. It seems like there are so many houses being built in the area, I wonder how they could manage to build them all relatively quickly. Do you know if they use various building companies, or just the one (which would presumably have many staff)?
