Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 18, 2013 7:50 pm Hi, guys I'm so excited about to sign the contact. Though in the final stage, I'm still wanna to grab some ideals from here... Can anyone give me some suggestions on the final plan ? all ideals and suggestions are welcomed ! my land block is a 380 sqm narrow block. price is :358k including site cost. (how is this price ?) https://plus.google.com/photos/11080016 ... banner=pwa Re: suggestion needed in the final design stage.. 2Apr 18, 2013 8:12 pm Layout looks quite good. Fairly radical suggestion but I'd swap the master bedroom and the activity room around. This way the activity room is a buffer between the kid’s bed and bathrooms and your bedroom. I’d also add a window the east wall of the activity / masterbed upstairs. This will allow morning light down into the stairwell. Put a door in the back of the garage to access that side of the house. Maybe move the gas HWU to the east side in closer to all the bathrooms and laundry. Ensure that you have sound batts and even up-rated gyprock on/in the theatre ceiling if the masterbed is above. The large window on the lower west wall – I’d move that further towards the entry to cut down any direct sunlight cooking the guest bedroom. If you are going to have a plumbed in fridge, consider having a niche built in behind the WIP door and have the tap and filter for the fridge there so it’s easily accessed to either turn off, or more regularly, change the filter. ----------------------------------------------- http://pab34newdigs.blogspot.com.au/ ----------------------------------------------- Re: suggestion needed in the final design stage.. 3Apr 18, 2013 8:22 pm Fairly radical suggestion but I'd swap the master bedroom and the activity room around.
